Unreliable

1) In 6 years of ownership, one of the door switches has melted 5 times, leaving char marks and melted plastic (see photo) and rendering the oven unusable. This time it failed two days before Thanksgiving.
2) Since we bought the oven, the turntable has randomly turned or not turned while cooking - not such a big deal in convection cooking, but microwaved items get scorched in one spot.
3) If we turn the oven temperature to 450 degrees, the oven often gives an error code and has to be unplugged and plugged back in to reset it.
4) The convection mode heats up barely faster, if at all, than our full-sized electric oven.
5) The microwave is not as powerful as I'd like. I miss our reliable 1200 watt countertop microwave (from another manufacturer).

Bosch Convection Microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was the convection microwave we were looking for, not as wide as most out there so fit perfectly into our island. Only harp I have is that the chime is not very loud even at its highest setting. All in all, would highly recommend.

500 Series Speed Oven

Great investment

I use it daily as a microwave to quickly re-heat or defrost foods and I also use the oven on a weekly basis as a second oven. It heats up really fast and cooks evenly. It wasn't cheap but for my new kitchen, it's the perfect luxury addition. Now I have a microwave and oven in one which saves space. And it looks great too!

Still Learning, But....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first experience with a dual-function microwave, but so far, I'm loving it!!! It's beautiful and functional! The controls are extremely easy to use, the interior is spacious enough to hold most any need and the food is evenly cooked! I purchased this product for a kitchen remodel which required a 24" product--options were limited. I chose this product based upon the Bosch reputation, dual-function and aesthetics! I am extremely happy with my choice!!!
