You'll need earplugs to tolerate this oven

The oven bakes well, but the racket it produces during baking and for a long time after is aggravating. There is a loud fan noise accompanied by a howling noise and occasional banging noises as it heats up. I had the repair people come and they said these noises were normal for this oven. If you are hard of hearing, this oven is for you.

Great value!

We have been thrilled with our new double oven. It is packed with improvements and new features over the old oven we replaced. In a nutshell, the convection oven has produced some perfectly cooked roasts, the broiler is slightly hotter than our old oven and it browns the meat beautifully, and the warmer has been helpful when preparing multiple courses. We cook dinner for our family most evenings and have found this oven to be a great value for all of its features!

Whirlpool Double Convection Oven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a double convection oven to fit EXACTLY where the old one was. This one did. AND it is just a little larger inside than the one it replaced. I like it a lot. Heats up fast. The vent fan is a bit loud but that is better than burning the house down!

Loud fan is NOT a deal breaker!

Before I purchased this double oven, I read a lot of reviews complaining about the loud fan that runs during and for a while after cooking. Folks, this is one minor inconvenience that is FAR outweighed by all of the positive attributes of this oven! The controls are intuitive, the convection feature is foolproof, and it heats evenly. I also love the way it looks- it's much prettier than any other oven I looked at. The brushed steel handles are very attractive and easy to grasp. The appearance was not the main reason why I bought it, of course, but it did help sway my decision. I love the huge windows and seamless look of the oven doors. Some people complained of a greenish tint, but I think those people need to get their eyes checked b/c any hint of green is not obvious at all. Our fridge stopped working shortly after we got this oven, so it was a no-brainer to replace it with a matching Whirlpool fridge.

For what it costs, we would definitely be buying another brand next time. The motor runs so long after cooking, that it turns off as we are finishing dinner.

Mixed feelings!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new oven looks really nice. However, two problems stand out significantly. The fan that runs from the time it's turned on until it's completely cool is extremely loud with a high pitched whistle/whine also--it's louder than my washer, dryer, and dishwasher all running at the same time. I know it needs a fan to keep the electronics cool but it's hard to carry on a conversation in the living room over the noise from the oven in the kitchen. The other issue is that the temperature control doesn't seem accurate. The manual says I may have to adjust it 5 degrees and not to use independent thermometers but it seems to be running at least 50 degrees cooler than the setting both according to an oven thermometer and the way the food cooks.
