Switching from a G.E. comparable model to this model, I find the burners much larger and hotter. So your handles will get hot if you are not used to such a large burner, and you can turn it down lower to get the same heat value out of the burner. The designers must have figured everybody uses huge (16 inch) frying pans and pots. The oven timer is different than what I was used to. It always starts off at 350 degrees and you go up or down from there. It gives you the temperature as it preheats, which is nice, but once you are baking with it, you lose the time of day feature in the clock. I haven't used the time bake feature yet, but I bet it would give you a count-down of minutes left until it stops, which would be nice to see. The surface is hard to keep clean and you have to buy their cleaner to get baked on crud off the surface. We found that the easiest way to get the final no-streak finish is to finish with Windex window cleaner.

New Range in our House

This is a really great product! I needed to replace a 17 year old Whirlpool range, and I wanted to try the glass cook-top versus the electric burners I had used. I am astounded at the ease with which I can keep the cooktop clean - I'm only sorry I didn't get one earlier. I've also tried out the self-clean oven feature and was pleased with the result. It worked faster and better than the original range we had.

Efficient and Sleek

This is a nice efficient stove. The only quirk I have is the front two burners turn off and on to "regulate heat" which I find a bit annoying.

We have had it for a-while and it works great but I need more time to get use to the controls. I need more time to control the heat better. Cleaning the top was different at first but we are getting better.
