[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice unit, good value. Only give 4 stars because they are lighter and less heavy duty than older models. More plastic, less metal I guess.

This electric range came with our home when we purchased it. I really wasn't sure what to expect, since it had been used for over three years by the previous family. I am very pleased to say that this range/oven has been great for the three years that we have been living here. I have not had any problems from it baking unevenly or not heating, etc. I love the sleek design and how easy it is to keep the glass top clean. I have not used the self clean feature yet, but I am glad that it is there for when I do choose to use it. The dual burner is very nice to have, especially when you need to utilize the entire cook top efficiently. The only complaint I have with this model is that I don't like the blue clock face, but that is becoming the norm on most kitchen appliances. I would recommend this model to anyone that is looking for something durable and of good quality.

Terrible electric range WFE510

Owned many Whirlpool applilances - mostly Gold - washers, dryers, ranges (Ah, my Accubake!) over the years. This junk is nothing like in any little way those products of old. The new owners trashed Maytag as well. Of course, they don't care - too much money to be made on all those ill-informed buyers and consumers.

Crowded cooktop, annoying controls--not impressed

This range is an okay performer, but it has some serious cons. We've had ours a little over 4 years and are eager to replace it in our upcoming kitchen remodel.
Pros:
-It's pretty easy to keep the top clean;
-Self cleaning mode for oven works well;
-The two big burners put out plenty of heat and seem to heat up pretty quickly;
-The oven is a consistent performer.
Cons:
-The layout of the burners makes this essentially a two-burner cooktop. When I use the two large burners in front at the same time with meal-sized pans, the back burners are basically unusable. For example, if I have stock pot on one front burner and a 12" skillet on the other, the two back burners are impossible to use with anything other than a tiny pot (1-quart). This is by far my biggest gripe with the stove.
-The two small burners on the back don't put out enough heat, don't seem to heat up as quickly, and are little too small to be useful very often.
-The push button controls for the oven and the timer are annoying to the point of cursing frustration. They are difficult to manipulate with clean, dry hands and require way too many pushes to adjust. It's like an 1980's alarm clock. Don't even get me started on the timer controls.
-The single read-out for the timer/oven makes it hard to tell what's going on when the timer and the oven are both running. I've accidentally turned off the oven several times thinking I was turning off the timer.
-The blue-light on the led clock is cool but unreadable unless you're standing right on top of it. Even in the dark, your eyes simply will not resolve that blue light into numbers. Almost as a party game, I have asked many guests to try to read the numbers from 10-15 feet away. Most fail.
If you're only looking for light-duty cooking, this unit might be fine. If you're like me and you really enjoy preparing more complicated dishes or meals that require a lot of cooktop activity, I highly recommend that you look elsewhere or at least that you bring you pots and pans to the store and experiment with the cooktop before you commit.
At a little over four years old, the controls of one of our burners is beginning to act up. Sometimes, the burner simply ignores the nob when you turn it up or down. It started about a month ago and happens only intermittently, but as time goes by, it's happening more and more. If it keeps deteriorating, this will be a 3-burner range in another few weeks. I know they don't make appliances like they used to, but I'm not impressed

Buyer Beware - When a great product goes horribly wrong

Love the stove. Hate the glass top, it's terrible to keep clean - shows every fingerprint and dust particle. Oven door glass CAN and IS spontaneously exploding/shattering. I had just begun to prepare dinner and had preheated my oven to 375 degrees. It had just beeped alerting that preheat was complete. I opened the door, placed a cookie sheet with meat inside and closed the door. No more than 1 minute later, a loud explosion noise came from the kitchen. I ran to the kitchen to see what had happened - the inside glass panel of my oven had shattered all over the inside of the oven. When I opened the door, glass broke off and fell out all around the stove. I immediately turned off the oven and left the door cracked for cooling.I have read the online reports that indicate user error but I am 110% positive that is NOT my case I am the ONLY one who cooks. I am very careful with all my property. My husband and our boys work at an automotive glass factory. I am WELL aware of the microscopic defects that do pass inspection. Like I said, this is a great product but does need improvement. If purchasing, inspect the glass very carefully before accepting the product. One small flaw can turn to disaster quickly.

Not Sure

We purchased this stove a month ago. The oven cooks evenly, and the front is easy to clean. I haven't used the oven cleaner yet. The stove top is very hard to keep clean. I put the tea kettle on the burner and after boiling the water and I take the kettle off the burner there are white marks from the steam or maybe water drops and they are hard to get off. Every time I use the stove top it leaves marks and they are very hard to get off. I use stove top cleaner paste and spray. I have to scrub and scrub and still there is residue left behind. Then when it is finally clean it is still smuggy no matter how hard I try to get it clean. I'm not happy with this and if I could I'd return it. Too high maintenance and top look dirty all the time.

I bought this range a month ago and the glass top has already turn nasty looking. I would never recommend a glass top for a range to anyone. It takes 71/2 minutes to bring 1 gallon of water to a beginning boil set at high, and I am at sea level. The burners get hot then they turn off then come back on, it takes forever to get anything up to temperature. I have not had a chance to use the oven yet, but I had better try it before the holidays.
