My stovetop has pits and spots that won't clean off. I am disappointed.

We bought this about 6 months ago and I love it. The instant heat and reduction of heat is great, I haven't boiled anything over which is amazing for me! I also love the power boost that allows me to boil water faster than the microwave.

I love my new induction range. I have used every feature and find all easy to use. I like the safety features--if you don't have a pot on the burner it will beep. I would definitely recommend it to all of my friends.

Aqua-lift self clean is a joke

We bought this in August 2012. I've tried the aqua lift self cleaner a few times, and it NEVER works. I end up resorting to old-fashioned elbow grease. The "rapid pre-heat" isn't very rapid at all....25 minutes to pre-heat to 425 degrees F. There's nothing rapid about that.

After having two ranges (another brand) fail after a short amount of time, the store replaced ours with this Whirlpool model. We have had it a little over a month and I love it! It is much easier to use than the other one. The oven cleaning option is great and the induction cooktop and convection oven are wonderful time savers.

Love Induction cooking

I am so happy with the cooktop. I love induction cooking. The oven seems to cook just fine. My last oven cooked very hot and this one maybe a little cooler. So I have had to add a minute or two to recommended baking times. No big problem. I was little disappointed in a couple of areas. The area around the cooking surface is black and I know this is a minor thing except all of our other new whirlpool appliances have gray sides or accents so this is really the only black I have on the appliances. Again not major just odd. The other thing is the function buttons on the oven are not touch screen and you really have to push hard on the buttons. The cooktop has the touch screen so it's just odd and kinda cheap that they wouldn't have them the same. Induction ranges are quite expensive and whirlpool is among the lowest price so I guess these shortcuts are to be expected. The noises the cooktop make are different but I have not found them objectionable at all. It clicks and hums as the magnets heat up but it doesn't bother me. The one major thing I love is the temp control and also no more scraping the cooktop to keep it clean like our last range. Nothing gets burned to the surface. I accidentally left a sticker on the bottom of a new pan and added water and set it to boil to test it to make sure it worked on the top and I boiled the water for about 1minute and then removed the pot, poured out the water a noticed the sticker. It wasn't burned at all! It even peeled off easily. This was cool. So I would def buy again. I just would love to see some minor design changes.

Only issue I see is you will probably have to purchase some new pots and pans. As you shop out brands things to look for that you cannot see on the internet is the "cook top surface" I changed my decision to this Whirlpool unit when I saw the floor display next to the other brand it was a deal maker for me. I strongly suggest seeing the units on the floor display and ask alot of questions. Also look at burner size and placements on the cook top make sure you like the orientation. I also found the extended warranty from the mfg was better than the one the dealer offers. pay attention I found that the $ was very close but the factory warranty covers "electrical, mechanical, and functional" issues the dealer leave out the "functional". Convection oven plenty big @ 6.2cf work good we purchased this unit just before thanksgiving and the oven works great. I will follow up with a review in 6-months to re-review if any issues
