Love the induction

I have been using my induction stove for about 3 years now. I have cooked many meals in and on it. By far the best stove I have ever had. Will make gravy in less than 2 minutes. The on;y thing that I don’t like is the warming drawer. I tried keeping mashed potatoes warm in it and when I closed the warming drawer the bowl went in but the potatoes on top that were above the bowl stuck to the top of the drawer. Needless to say it was difficult to clean. I would have liked a white one but I was told that you didn’t make white ones. I found out later that you do. I have recommended this stove to just about everyone I know that is looking for a new one.

I bought this unit as an upgrade when I bought my home in August of 2012. The over door handle has fallen off several times and now my heating element has completely gone out - after only 3 years!

My main focus of this review is the Induction top. I have always cooked on gas ranges (45 + years). The home we just moved into is all electric and I have been having a horrible time adapting. We looked into getting gas installed but there was just no easy way to have it done. So I started researching Induction ranges. Took me a while to locate one at a store to actually look at. It wasn't hooked up to try out but at least I could get a feel for how it would work. Took a gamble and bought it. I have to say it is amazing. It definitely heats up quick. I can put 2 1/2 quarts of tap water in a 3 quart pan and it will be a rolling boil in just over 3 minutes. The number system for heat adjustments is very easy to use and understand.I think the biggest drawback to purchasing one is that even the salesmen are not very educated in there use. When I inquired if I could use my cast iron pans on it, I got a very definitive "NO" but when I made him drag out the owners manual to verify that, it stated it was OK to use them. He was shocked.I've learned:* They do make noise on the lower settings. You hear the magnet pulse. No big deal, makes a light clicking sound.* The surface does get hot under the pan. But you can put your hand within a 1/2" from the pan and the surface of the range is still cool.* I have a flat bottomed Wok and it works wonderfully on this range.* It is amazingly easy to clean* It is incredibly responsive to heat adjustments.* The kitchen stays cooler.* The stove top meals cook quicker, so I am spending less time in the kitchen.Drawbacks, only a few:* I have not found a non-stick skillet that will work on it. No biggie to me* You can't use a 2 burner grill pan.* A VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: If you or a family member has a pacemaker, consult with your doctor or the manufacture before you purchase. The oven functions nicely, I still prefer a gas oven, but I have no complaints with this one. I really love the interior finish on the oven and how easy it is to clean. Love the large viewing window and the split rack is a nice feature. The convection feature is easy to use.

Piece of Junk

I'd give it a negative number if they had one listed. Bought this stove in November. It is February 1 and the stove top doesn't work. Ask yourself do you want to depend on a company like this? It's Super Bowl Sunday, with a crowd coming over and no way of cooking all this food.

My husband bought this stove for me for Christmas. I have loved every bit of it. Water boils in 30 seconds. You can bake 3 trays of cookies at a time with the convection oven feature. The Auqua Clean feature is nice for cleaning tje oven. The one thing I did find out was even though a pan says it is induction compatible, it may not be. Make sure the pan has a flat bottom no divets. Took me 3 trys to finally find a set that works on the stove.

My new kitchen

I purchased 6 induction stoves in August. I am a culinary instructor and wanted to add new stoves that were fast and safe for my students to use. They have been used since September and are getting a good work out. My students love them because they are easy to use and easy to clean. I have 126 high school students and on parent night I placed a one dollar bill under the pot with water boiling in it and showed parents how safe they are. Every parent stated that they wanted one for their house.

If you are new to induction, download the owner's manual and read the care instructions to ensure you want to commit to this range top. It is beautifully sleet, no knobs. BUT, to keep it pristine, you can't drip even water on the top or it may burn it and stain Stirring big pots of food can easily grind against the top causing scratches no matter how careful you want to be. It is like having a new puppy to care for. And what is with keeping the oven door open 6 inches while broiling? I wanted to reduce heat radiating into the kitchen and broiling is a nightmare. Really looks great though.
