I am delighted with my new electric range. I have cooked with gas for the past 30 years, but love the cleanliness of the electric range and the ease of keeping the top clean. Everything has cooked well in the oven. i like the convection cooking system I like the warming feature on the range top. I would recommend this range to my friends.

The Whirlpool Gold Range surface gives one so many choices for heating element sizes. With the warming element, one has like six other choices. It is so easy to get and to keep the temperature needed to cook. The oven offers seven baking levels and has three oven racks . Then with the split rack, one can asccommodate for a large ham or turkey and not sacrifice oven space.Having the tru convection heat, the food gets done without overbaking.

Okay But Disappointed

I love *looking* at my range. It is beautiful, modern and sleek. But that?s about all I can do with it?enjoy Its beauty. As far as functionality for an advanced level cook? not so much.THE GOOD STUFF: 1. The warming zone is awesome. 2. The ?Melt? element is great & you really won?t burn cheese or chocolate using it. 3. The dual zone elements are great allowing more flexibility with pan sizes. 4. The ?picture window? on the oven is amazing. 5. Heat retention is amazing and most of the heat stays in the oven instead of heating up your house. 6. The stove elements heat up *fast*.THE BAD STUFF: 1. Cleaning! If you boil water or do *anything* that splatters you will have to scrub the glass top. Cleaning the oven is also a nightmare, as ?Aqua-lift? doesn?t lift anything. Even after several cycles you will still have to scrub the oven. 2. Element temp control is hit and miss as there is only a high and low setting on the panel. 3. True convection is a true horror? it automatically lowers the recipe temp by 25 degrees and then to make things worse takes *longer* to cook your item. I have tried this many times in different configurations over the last month. Useless. 4. Tru-Temp? Really? Recipes I?ve prepared for 30 years in many ovens now take sometimes *double* the cooking time at the temps I have used in other ovens. (And sometimes turning the oven up doesn?t even help). So weird. 5. ?Premium Storage Drawer? What? The drawer started sitting lopsided after one week and is the worst flimsiest thing. You can?t put anything more than a couple of lids in it and you *must* open from the bottom center (hand between drawer and floor) or you will have a problem. It?s terribly designed. If you just want a glass cook top that works well and you don?t mind cleaning this is the range for you. If you are an avid home ?chef? who is constantly using the oven and stove-top for home made from scratch creations using premium ingredients? then I highly recommend you do some further research. And regarding reviews? pay attention to the ones written by folks like myself who have actually owned and used the range for awhile (over a month at this writing) before they wrote their reviews. If I would have written mine the day I got the range it would have been much different than the one you have just read.

So far, I am happy with my new range. I am still getting used to no "burners" but I am sure I will get the hang of it soon.

We bought this oven to replace one that we had for about 10 years. I like that it has the option to use convection or not. I also like the open view into the oven itself. It's very good.

We purchased this stove to replace our old one. The top burners and oven work great. We have not yet tried the convection oven feature. Nice stove with lots of features and value.
