A Soft Touch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] New cooktop for my kitchen reno! It took me a few uses to realize I didn’t need to push down on the controls to operate—just a soft touch will do! Heats up quickly and cooks evenly. Love the sleek look and easy clean up, too!

Ok cooktop

It works but it would be better to have a seperate heat control for each burner. If you want to raise or lower temp, you have to select the burner then adjust heat. Then select another burner then change heat.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor Performance

We purchased an all Bosch kitchen and this one item greatly disappointed us. It will not sustain a rolling boil of 6-8 quarts of water for pasta, soup, etc. We are using quality All-Clad pots and pans. Heat cycles all on or all off making it difficult to precisely control heat for sensitive items. Recommend gas or induction (have not used induction though, just read reviews).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are happy overall with our Bosch 800 cooktop however there is one improvement I would recommend. That is to have the on/off button constantly lit. I would also recommend that when the on button is pressed the panel with the heat settings also light up so you can see them in a dim lit kitchen.

Pathetic warranty from quality company

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After three months a large gray area appeared under the glass and in the middle of a burner. Appliance repairman said it was a cosmetic defect but Bosch only has a 30 day warranty on cosmetic defects. It's very unslighty especially on a black cooktop and gets a lot of questions from dinner guest who can't believe it's a Bosch. The 30 day warranty is totally unacceptable and I'm going to try every resource possible to get a replacement.

Excellent cooktop
