Outstanding product

This is an exceptional product and easy to use. Within 20 mins of unpacking our new unit, which included the 15mins needed to soak the rubber wheel inserts, we had the unit in the pool. The unit ran through its cleaning cycle (while we slept) and parked itself at the shallow end of the pool, where I retrived it the following morning. This was so much easier than our previous unit that operated off of the main system. This is a must have addition.
Pros: Cleans Effectively, Hassle Free Operation, Large Debris Bin, Long Run Time, Quiet

Questionable Investment

For the high price, this unit get VERY poor marks. It picks up large debris and that is all it does. Debris gets caught everywhere in this machine: in the motor fan, in the wheel gears, and in all small crevices of the unit. It does not pick up sediment all. Pool coverage it not adequate: it seems to have no memory of where it has been. Mine is currently inoperable because of leaves bound up in the gears. Lastly, the roller brush as 2 small grommets that get lost the first time you remove the brush. Really poor design. Why use grommets when you should have simply made the mounting holes smaller. UUGGHHH!
Cons: Does Not Clean Stairs, Does Not Pick Up Sediment, Frequent Maintenance, Gears Get Tangled Debris, Gears Get Tangled Dibris, Poor Coverage, Small Parts Get Lost

I moved into a house with a pool for the first time this year. Although I have a professional service come out every week to maintain the pool, I found that leaves and pet hair were a problem in between visits. I run the Mirra once a week between professional visits and it keeps the pool sparkling clean. I saw another review that said that their robot does not pick up fine sand, but I will say that my unit consistently picks up sand (I assume it comes from the pavers around the pool deck when it rains). It's great at picking up pet hair (I have a flat-coated retriever that sheds a great deal) and after every rain there are always leaves in the pool that need to be cleaned up. I will say there is a design flaw in the baskets that is more an annoyance to me than adversely affecting its ability to work, but the dog hair is stuck up on one side of the debris filter where I cannot access it to pull it out or wash it out with water, it's just tangled up there. It still works, though. It will occasionally get stuck on the steps that are on the deep end of the pool and stick out a bit and need me to manually unstick it. I haven't seen it clean the other steps in the shallow end, but I could just be oblivious. It *does* take three hours, but it saves me a lot of work and keeps the pool much nicer than I could doing it by myself.
Pros: Cleans Effectively, Easy To Use, Hassle Free Operation, Large Debris Bin
Cons: Difficult To Clean

Works Great But....

Mirra is great but I have to disassemble the whole thing when cleaning the Fine Debris Filter Canisters. Debris gets stuck in the all the seems and you can not lift out the canisters to clean. But all the other features out way that one small issue. Just takes an extra ten minutes to clean. But saves me over an hour vacuuming the pool manually. Love all the iRobot products religiously. I have the Scooba, Roomba and the Mirra.
Pros: Cleans Effectively, Covers Entire Pool, Hassle Free Operation, Large Debris Bin, Long Run Time, No External Hoses Needed, Quiet
Cons: Hassle Cleaning

VERY satisfied with my Mirra 530!

Mirra cleans more far more deeply and reaches more areas of my pool than my previous Dolphin robotic unit ever did. Mirra is vastly superior to any of the robotic pool cleaners I've seen; and I've shopped a lot. I'm especially pleased with the IRobot company - they quickly addressed an issue I had concerning the Mirra caddy. IRobot has won a loyal customer; I will look for other IRobot products for my home.
Pros: Cleans Effectively, Deep Cleaning Ability, Doesn't Tangle Its Cord, Hassle Free Operation, Large Debris Bin, Reaches Pool Steps, Scrubs Walls Of Pool
Cons: None Really

Replaced My Polaris with it

I replaced my Polaris of many years with this because I love the Roomba and Scooba that I own, so I figured I would give it a try. I'm becoming a big fan of their products. This works great. No pumps. Buy an extention cord and toss Mirra in the pool and it cleans really well. The compartments are big and it kind of scrubs the bottom too so the pool is definitely looking cleaner in a couple days. So well done. This is way better than a Polaris.
Pros: Cleans Effectively

Great but not perfect

We purchased a Mirra pool cleaner a few months ago and it's done a much better job than any of the other pump driven cleaners we've used previously. It does a great job picking up sticks, acorns, gravel, dirt, and leaves without ever getting stuck or plugged. It also does a good job (mostly) cleaning our entire pool. I'm frustrated that the brush doesn't actually come into contact with the bottom surface of the pool to scrub and remove small particles and algae. As well, the floating power cord seems to always get twisted up after one or two cleaning, preventing Mirra from reaching the farthest spots (since the cord creates a fair amount of resistance for Mirra to pull so the robot decides to change directions.) Our unit doesn't return to the place we started the cycle at (which I thought it was supposed to do) and it doesn't clean our rounded entry steps well. It climbs them no problem but doesn't find it's way around to clean each step well. So overall I love that Mirra cleans up big debris easily and without hassle. I'm frustrated that it doesn't clean the small algae and particulate matter and that it doesn't do everything the company claims it does.
Pros: Hassle Free Operation, Large Debris Bin, Long Run Time, Quiet
Cons: Brush Doesn't Scrub, Cord Gets Tangled, Does Not Clean Algae, Does Not Clean Stairs, Doesn't Return To Start
