Don't buy this product!

We bought this product 2 years ago and it's been frustrating! We contacted IRobot to get it fixed and they referred us to an outside independent person for repairs. I had to pay $100 to pack and ship the Mirra to him, he charged over $350 for it to be fixed. Worked well for one day, now will not start. We have reached out to the guy who did the repairs and he won't respond back. Very frustrated with IRobot and this guy. We have several IRobot products and have not been treated like this in the past. Very disappointed. Too expensive to take the risk.
Pros: Hassle Free Operation, Long Run Time
Cons: Difficult To Clean, Misses Spots

The definition of insanity

Called customer service to get my pool cleaner repaired as the power box is not seeming to get any power. This product, it seems, was discontinued shortly after I purchased it in the past 2-3 years and they offer no ongoing support for a piece of plastic that cost well over $1,000. Car manufacturers, cell phone manufacturers and others all continue servicing their products for 5-10 years after a product is discontinued. Not iRobot. You can't find parts or anywhere that can service this because you can't buy parts anywhere and now even if I could find a place to pay to repair it, why would I knowing this is the best it'll be and in a few months it'll die again and no service will be available? I've had many IRobot products over the past 10 years. They never work right, the service from customer support sucks and yet I've given them more money for new products. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Today the insanity stops here.

Great Product - Please Bring It Back!!

We have used this fabulous little machine regularly -- weekly or bi-weekly -- for the past 4 summers, all summer long. We rely on it to keep the debris on the bottom of the pool cleared up and it works like a charm. My only reservation is that the debris catchers have to be cleaned with a high-power hose, but really, it's kind of fun. I'd buy this again in a heartbeat and I really don't know how we ever got along without it!
Pros: Cleans Effectively, Easy To Use, Hassle Free Operation, Large Debris Bin, Long Run Time

IMPOSSIBLE to get SPARE PARTS

Very good product until the scrubbing brush breaks. After 4 years , impossible to get spare parts, including the scrubing brush. Lucky carmakers do not have the same spare parts policy....Highways would be filled with rotting cars. I own 3 house vacuum cleaner robots....hoping not be "dropped" by iRobot when i need help like when I needed help for my 1,400$ iRobot pool cleaner.

I loved this product for the first 9 months. It cleaned the pool throughly and was quite impressive. However after 9 months things started breaking. I had to replace the brush twice then the power unit went out and it hasn't worked since. I have tried my best to have the power unit repaired but it's impossible to get anyone to return calls. The support options are ridiculously difficult to initiate. Apparently the closest "service center" to Texas is in Alabama and it's one man who owns a local pool cleaning business. Getting him on the phone is next to impossible and I still have a non-working unit.

Be careful about buying one of these. I had the previous model of cleaner, and it turns out that it is actually made by another company in New Jersey. For warranty service, I had to ship it there and my warranty service ended up costing me over $225 and it still never worked correctly.
