Cleans well but doesn't last long

After normal use for a couple of years, it is now completely worn. The prop and the motor failed as well. Needed 4 brushes, 2 sets of filters and 2 sets of wheels. Cleaning the filter is a mess. There are many corners where debris gets stuck. I bought new filters recently but iRobot did not change a thing and the same problems are still there (like the handle keeps popping out). The gears are so worn that the wheels can turn without turning the motor. The bearings on the brush as completely worn, the brush kept falling out and I had to find the parts on the pool floor. iRobot does not send out spare parts besides wheel and brushes.

Cons: Difficult To Clean

Don't buy!!!! Not durable. Have owned a relatively short time. Handle broke off basket. Can't replace handle. Have to pay $99.00 for new filter basket. Foam wheel has already come off. Too expensive! Ineffective. I should have read reviews first but I didn't because I have used my indoor roomba for years and I love it. I've sold many friends on it. It's a part of our family. Irobot should not have strayed from their indoor robots. This pool robot is horrible!!!!!!!

I've always hated cleaning the pool. It a dirty and hard job that takes up a lot of time. So i decided to buy the mirra and give it a shot. First time watching it go around my pool, i was mesmerized. I have vinyl siding and there are some overlapping portions where dirt and sand get stuck in. And the mirra cleans it perfectly, the brushes agitate the surface enough that it will lift stuck on surfaces, and not just the things laying on top. It really is a good robot and always leaves my pool very clean. In fact, I actually was hosting a pool party one day. A while i was preparing the food, i threw in the mirra and by the time everybody got there. it was clean, and another time i used it was before we had to close our pool for the winter. So the day before i threw it in as well. And when they came, they said "this was the cleanest pool they've ever closed." The only things that can be annoying is when your cleaning out the bins. It can be hard to wash out some of the grime that gets stuck in there, but it still easier than cleaning a whole pool by hand. I'm so satisfied with this product, it actually convinced me to buy a roomba. And so far, its also been great!

We had our pool cleaner iRobot for over 6 months. I used to plug in my sucker hose after scrubbing the entire pool with my long handled brush than vacuum the pool once every weekend, it always took at least an hour at a minimum. Now I drop Sally into our pool, plug her in and there she goes, cleans every inch of the pool, floor, wall even the stairs, runs for four hours as advertised, then I just unplug and plug her in again for another four hour run. I take her out, pull out her two baskets and quickly rinse them with a garden hose--total work time on my part at the most five minutes, total work time on sally's part 8 hours and she doesn't need a baby-sitter. Let her do all the work which leaves me all the free time I want. So 32 hours of cleaning a month for the last 6 months and she works as if I just pulled her from the box, totally worth the investment. I am a very Happy customer--the reason we bought the IRobot pool cleaner is that we were really impressed with our 600 series house iRobot. We love them both like family an so happy we bought them.

I've always used the tiger shark to clean my inground pool. After 3 years of service it died and I ordered the iRobot Mirra product for this year. I miss my sparkling clean pool so much! The tiger shark cleaned all of the fine debris at the bottom of the pool with its scrubbers that worked it loose so that it could be sucked up. The Mirra does not have this and therefore there is an entire layer of brown sandy type dirt in my pool that the Mirra doesn't touch. That is never there with tiger shark. The tiger shark has two cylinders that constantly loosen up the dirt so that it can be cleaned away. Get a tiger shark.
