Winters are long where we live, and kids are non-stop......but with our fireplace on the wall in our bedroom, we feel like we have our own peaceful retreat. The timer feature is perfect for the end of the night. I set it, and drift off to sleep. No worrying about staying awake to turn it off. I love the different flame settings too, and the option for heat on or off.

We are very happy with this fireplace. It is now the focal point of our room. We have a small table under it and it is placed at eye level. It looks great.
The only drawbacks are that it gets a little hot when on, without the heat on. Also, the metal bar did not have openings to screw it in a stud to center it on our wall. I know it came with anchors, however, I was not comfortable with that. We purchased a drill bit for metal and made a hole to allow it to be installed in a stud centered on the wall.
