I installed this on Saturday, and followed the fairly simple instructions, after about 5 min, heard a pop! Now it makes a annoying sound,

bracket didn't work out right. spaced off wall to make it quieter. would have liked it to blow out the front .

This fireplace sounded good when I ordered it, because it was the right size and the right price for my tiny budget, and my Tiny House on Wheels. When I opened it, I found so much more to like. I liked that the 34” wall fireplace was VERY sturdy, unlike some I had tried. The log or rock option strip is securely screwed in, as is the nice and heavy glass front, with 3 screws on each side (6 total) , unlike others that have only 1 at each side of the top. As I was unpacking, I noted a very thoughtful wall hanging bracket. As you can see in the picture, the hanger does not have only the two screw holes, but slots, so you can place the screws securely on the studs, THEN you can slide the bracket rt. or lft. to center it into your viewing area. In pulling the fireplace out of the box, I also noted a solid finger grip on each side that made it so much easier to unpack, and carry once it was out. Then I plugged in before mounting, as it suggested, and fount the flame settings from tall and bright to low ember glow, very realistic (a photo cannot do it justice) and unlike others I tried, when you look down into the wood/rock insert all you see is the glow of the”embers” between the logs or rocks, not an opaque glass cover over the white light bulbs. Speaking of light bulbs, I has 2 flame shaped (chandelier) bulbs with a trap door on the base, for easy access when they need to be changed. I prefer the “crystal” bed of my previous fireplace, for it looks more like a sandy beach fire pit. I tried the rock insert, but preferred the realism of the logs, so I found that the log insert was far enough from the glass cover plate that I could carefully glue some old crystal pieces in spaces between the “logs and embers,” so they caught the light and added additional feeling of depth and sparkle. Pictures don’t catch the brilliance of the flame. I sit at night with me feet up on a stool, and the fireplace warms both my heart and body.

I received this Electric Fireplace as a gift and what a nice gift it is! I sometimes leave the Weatherscan or Weatherchannel on quietly for some peace in the mornings but now I find that I will just have this unit on and it gives the room such a nice ambiance. Since I live in Florida, using the heat option will have to wait but in the meantime the fireplace is getting well used!
