Good while it lasted. Not recommended.

I don't recommend this as the ones I have failed on me after more than one year, both with the same problem. They work fine up until the point that they don't work at all, you won't even know that it died until somebody presses the door bell. So because they were out of warranty, I opened up the door chimes and found that both of them had defective capacitors inside. The capacitors were bulging from the vents and leaked out electrolytes.

Works well and has lasted a long time

Purchased about 10 years ago and now one chime unit has failed, but 2nd unit just keeps ringing as it should. Only replaced the battery now, but that may not be the problem. I am very happy with the product

OMG IT HAS A MIND IF ITS OWN !

This is the second doorbell and it is still ridiculous !
It rings randomly in the night , yes that’s right , simply starts ringing at random times , we have now gotten used to knowing that it has a problem and in fact nobody is at the door at 3am !
Plus the door chime randomly changes tone ! Has a mind of its own m.
Done the usual , changed the batteries etc and this is the 2nd one with a similar problem to the first we had.
So if you would like to woken in the middle of night by the sound of a doorbell , then this one’s right for you !

Green wash

Works as described and just what I needed.
I found the 'Swann supports recycling' logo printed on the packaging and went looking for the recycling code on the large hard plastic wrapping. But there was none!! So its is not possible to recycle this packaging as, no marking, its rejected.
Just a another corporate GREENWASH exercise aiming to score brownie points. FAIL

Setup is super simple, works beautifully and has lots of different chimes to choose from. Can easily change the volume also.

Loud. Old fashioned tunes.

This door bell has great volume and many tunes to choose from but the tunes are pretty ordinary. I so wish my husband had paid a little more and got the one you can customise yourself. Of the 32 tunes there is only 1 I will choose. The rest are too 'old fashioned'. I would not buy this version again if I had a choice. Pity it cannot be resealed and taken back. Advantage is that you can buy extra of the parts.

We have been delighted with our Swann dual door chimes. They are perfect because we have a two level home, so we have one upstairs and one down. Unfortunately, one of them has just given up the ghost!
