This model was a replacement for my 37 year old DLC-10. The bowl size and powerful motor are great improvements. Also feeding tube with size options very good.
I really have been enjoying this, I have used it like 30 times at the last in the last month, I've barely put it away because I go from one thing to the next and just pull it straight out of the dishwasher or dish drainer for its next project. The only thing I wish is that there were variable speeds, sometimes I want to start slower or go faster. But overall it has been a win and I love it.
This is my fourth food processor over several decades and I am disappointed in the manual and the setup. I never could figure out how to fit the cover and the pusher to the work bowl and the manual was worthless. Thank goodness my neighbor was available to help else I would have had to grate 3 pounds of potatoes by hand. An addendum with assembly instructions would be very user friendly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for sharing your experience with the Cuisinart® Custom 14‑Cup Food Processor, model DFP‑14BCNY, and we’re sorry to hear the setup and manual were frustrating. Proper assembly requires the work bowl to be fully locked onto the base before the cover will align correctly, and the pusher will only seat once the cover is properly positioned, which can sometimes be difficult without clear visual guidance. Our Consumer Assistance Center can walk you through assembly step‑by‑step and document your feedback—please contact 1‑800‑726‑0190 for assistance. Thank you for your feedback, as it helps us improve instructions and usability for future models.
today, my wife called me into the kitchen and told me that the food processor I gave her back in the early 90s was breaking down. So, after 30 or so years I will be needing to get her a new one. I thought you may want to know that I am going to have to give this item a 5* review. I hope yours does as well as Judi's has done.
I purchased to replace my older one that died after only 16 years....This one is a little bigger and not quite as heavy but seems to have all the oomph that I have come to love. It will get a work out in our house!
This is my 2nd Cuisinart food processor. I replaced exactly what I had before. It is a workhorse, well loved in my kitchen. At my age it’s probably the last one I’ll have to buy and I’ll be able to pass it on to a family member. Great quality.
