My third Custom 14. Still a workhorse that does the basics well, including kneading. No longer comes with the flat cover which I miss, or the kneading blade which I found useless anyway.
It’s a wonderful, strong, simple machine. Much like the one i had that died. Metal parts, not plastic, strong motor and not too noisy. Like it very much.
After 35 years, my Cuisinart DLC7 finally began to get tired! This is the replacement model, and even takes the same blades. I am hoping to get another 35 years of excellent service out of this one (a NY Times Wirecutter Best Food Processor pick).
I purchased the 14 cup processor because I wanted a larger processor. I have had the 11 cup cuisinart for more than 10 years and use it all the time. The 14 cup is easy to use and appears to be the same quality as my older version. I bought the stainless steel this time and it cleans up nicely.
