I've used a Cuisinart for over 30 years and couldn't do without it.The newest model is even better than my old one. It makes food preparation so much faster and easier.
After 35 years–yes, 35 years–we had to replace our vintage Cuisinart because we could no longer find replacement bowls and feeder tubes that fit properly. (The motor of that old workhorse still works fine.) We were happy to find the Custom 14 14-cup Food Processor, which closely resembles the model we had come to know and love. The bowl is somewhat larger, and the feeding tube assembly seems to be a better design than the old one. We hope it will serve us as well as its predecessor did.
A family member had passed down this Cuisinart Food Processor and it lasted me until the day I accidentally dropped/broke off a piece of it. At that time, my husband bought me a new food processor by Kitchen Aid that lasted 2 years before it bit the dust (motor died). Cuisinart is tried and true, simple and yet outstanding in what it can do. I've never been happier to have this Cuisinart Food Processor back in my kitchen as I know it withstands time and gets the job done whether chopping veggies or making smoothies.
Biggest complaint with another manufacturers model was the shape of the bowl and top, too many nooks and crannies to get food caught up in and around. The Cuisinart is straight sides and no stuff protruding downwards on the lid. Nice machine operates well and clean up is easy.
Works great! I’ve had one for over ten years and it’s still running! I got this one for more versatility, works just the same. The only thing is that I have to adjust how I pour things out since the tabs to hold the lid on are in different spots, not quite as a natural position for my wrist.
