This was to replace our old DLC-X Cuisinart which is failing because of its age (cracks in the bowls). The smaller capacity presents some challenges. Functioning is very similar although the choice of attachments are less, and some things we could do with the old one don't work with the new one.

I had a Cuisinart for years but was woo’d by a rival so gave up my workhorse for this other one. And I had buyer’s remorse immediately. I used that food processor for a decade, dealing with one break down after another (and having the company send me the same incorrect replacement part five times) and I finally said “enough” and went back to my long-lost friend. While I have only used it a handful of times, I know that this is what I have been missing all theses years. It’s good to be back with the best!
