I've had a Cuisinart 14 Cup Food Processor since 1995. My most recent one from when I got married in 2006. Replaced with this newest model. Love, love, love it. So easy to prep so many things: vegetables, dough for pasta or bread, slice, shred. Meals are so easy to prepare.
After using a vintage (1974) Cuisinart food processor for all these years, I’m thoroughly enjoying all of the improvements of my new “best friend”. Goodness, what took me so long to take the plunge and purchase a new food processor? I am so pleased with the slicing, dicing and mixing. I must say my vintage FP did hold up quite well. So, if you are wondering about durability here is the proof of a good quality product. Not too many things are still around that I purchased in 1974!!!!!!
Works beautifully. My only complaint is that there was nowhere in the instructions about the lid fitting on bowl with the feed tube in the back, like it is in older versions.
This is the third food processor I have owned- and it is absolutely the best. It is so quiet! It purées food so quickly and thoroughly. I highly recommend this product. It is well worth the money.
I looked a so many reviews, good and bad, for both this particular Cuisinart food processor, as well as other Cuisinart models, and many other brands’ processors. What already had experience with was a Cuisinart food processor I received as a gift in 1983. It was STILL working fine after 40 years of use. Never had any issues other than the lid having the piece that locks it into place crack off, which required a replacement lid. That was about. 20 years ago. However, I moved to a new house with a beautifully updated kitchen, in a whole new state, and desired a shiny new processor to go with all that newness. I finally made the decision ti stick to Cuisinart brand, and chose this model. All these years what I’d mostly used my old processor for was my homemade hot salsa. I could not even guess how many batches I made with the old one. I read all the things this baby can do, and since I am now retired, I may try some other things! I made my first batch of hot salsa last week with the new model and MAN did it ever out perform the old one! The chopped pieces of tomato , jalepeno, and onion were so uniform, and took less pulses to get there! And my new processor looked beautiful while working !!!!
The machine runs and works smoothly. My third Cuisinart in my 55 years of marriage!! We love to eat unusual foods and a machine like this is critical--everything from butternut squash raviolis to stuffed zucchini!
