This is the first food processor I have used. I looked at a lot of food processor model reviews and saw that the Cuisinart 14- cup is very highly rated and that it's a reliable, durable model that's been around for a long time. The reviews I saw told the truth. The Cuisinart 14-cup is fast, powerful, quiet, and easy to assemble and use. I watched with delight as it neatly sliced a lot of potatoes and shredded an eggplant in a fraction of the time it would have taken me to do it by hand. I am working on cooking a variety of healthy dinners from scratch, with fresh ingredients. The Cuisinart 14-cup makes it much faster and easier to cook fresh.
The machine is great, the directions are awful. Let me explain. This is my first food processor and really my first kitchen "gadget". I'm a beginner, proudly so. The fact that NOWHERE in the directions does it tell you that the machine will not work unless you lock the various chambers in place is ridiculous. Why do I have to resort to a YouTube video to make sure I'm not doing something wrong when I push the ON button and nothing happens? Why do I have to resort to YouTube to show me that the machine is not broken or that I am not a total moron. The directions need to be better. Period. You can lose a page of recipes and include a diagram of how to assemble it so that it locks into place and works. Other than that, I think its great. I use it all the time.
What an amazing product. Cuisinart has been part of my family for over 40 years. I wanted a bigger machine (food processor) and bought my self something that I knew I could trust with absolute confidence. My orginal is still working! Thank you Cuisinart!!!!
Great quality, simple paddle operation, minimal grooves or areas where food particles can get stuck. Cleanup is simple and easy! I wish the large food pusher didn't have the safety feature, but I get why it's there. Still way faster than having to chop everything by hand!
Super easy to use. I would say that the manual could come with better information about how to put the lid and slicing blades. I had to Google it to find a video.
Purchase of a new food processor led to much research of current brands. Decided to stick with cuisinart due to the combination of quality product at a great price, excellent previous experience w cuisinart was another deciding factor. My previous FP was about 13 years old, still worked, but I needed to replace the cutting blade and decided it was time to purchase the larger model. Cuisinart products never fail to impress me. Does everything I need a fp for and like my previous model is a workhorse in the kitchen.
