Do not Buy. Expensive "cheaply-made product

Food, such as carrots, constantly get stuck between blade and lid. I have to unplug, lift lid,remove pieces, assemble again, plug in and go. Then, the process starts over again until I'm done with large batch shredding. Totally regret replacing my grandmother's old yellow vintage food processor that never did this! I do not recommend this product for shredding at all!! Total waste of my money since this is the main purpose for which I bought it.

For better results, try cutting carrots into pieces that fit comfortably in the feed tube, applying steady pressure with the pusher, and avoiding overfilling; always unplug the unit before clearing any food that becomes stuck. I am amazed at the ease with which this food processor slices, shreds, and chops food. It's also very quiet. Definitely a worthwhile purchase! I've already recommended this model to several people.

My Cuisinart is older than most of you!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my Cuisinart when I married in 1981. Raised 4 kids, used it constantly. I am a grandma now, and I am still using it all the time! My daughter has the same one. It was my mom’s. I gave it to my mom for Christmas in 1981. Such a great kitchen appliance, can be used for so many things! We love our Cuisinarts!

Need a diagram not recipes!

Arrogant of manufacturer to assume everyone is familiar with assembly of this product. I’m dyslexic and honestly don’t know how the blade fits on post to shred. I guess I’ll YouTube or return. It should contain one diagram or a video link. QR Code brought me here so, this is my out of box experience and review. Can’t use until I search for instructions or somebody in my neighborhood can show me how.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was on the fence about spending so much money on this processor when you can clearly buy a cheaper one in various big box stores, however; I am so glad that I took the plunge and stuck to my own rule of you get what you pay for. I am in love with this powerhouse of a tool for my culinary needs. It is much quieter than I expected it to be, it is fast, efficient easily assessable for a variety of sized food. I gave it a 4 star because I would have loved an additional plate so to be able to do a thick cut or thinner cut for items like carrots or potatoes if I was making a "cowboy" style chunky verses a more refined cut. This is quite heavy and therefore making a "home" for it worked best for me and in doing so I purchased a slide out that fits it perfect and allows me to slide it to the edge of the counter to work with it and then slide back into "home plate" when done. I am loving this addition to my collection of chef tools and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good processor made by a company who has a great reputation.
