Finally, a product that lives up to the manufacturer's hype! It simply gets the job done. Could not be happier with this purchase. And I'm glad I opted for the larger 14 cup size!
This is my second Cuisinart food processor. I bought my other one about 35 years ago, and when the plastic plunger developed a crack, I treated myself to a new one. And I'm so happy I did! It's just as wonderful as the old one, but it runs more quietly, holds more food and the blades are sharper, of course. It's the same terrific quality of the older one and I'd recommend it 100%.
This is by far the best food processor I have ever owned. It shreds boiled chicken in second, as well as many other items. Does everything I need it to do and more. East to clean and very quiet operation. Wish I could give it more than 5 stars.
I didn't realize what a jalopy of a food processor I had until I replaced it with the Custom 14 Cuisinart. I was in food service as a career and had used really large commercial food processors with food preparation. When I retired I enjoyed being in the kitchen to try recipes and cook for family and friends. I decided to treat myself to this Cuisinart food processor and what a great thing it is. It is quiet and processes the foods the way you want. I like that the blade is set low to the floor of the cup so that foods are mixed and processed very efficiently. With the attachments you can easily grate or slice thereby saving the knuckles and finger tips which seem to get in the way now that I am older!! With the Custom 14 I can do so much more and better than with my old processor. And the Custom 14 is quick at doing its job. Just seconds to make a dip or chop vegetables or herbs with the use of the pulse button. I appreciate the clean lines of the cup and top with chute as it is a breeze to clean. I would heartily recommend the Custom 14 to those who really enjoy cooking and want to make a great addition to their kitchen.
Purchased Feb.2918, and have used five times already. Had a little problem cutting pork into small pieces. Had to cut pieces smaller before inserting. Did great on cabbage, cheese, and potatoes. I have two complaints. First, I had to look online to find out how to use it. Not very clear written instructions included in package. Would have been helpful to have an instructional DVD included. Second complaint, sometimes it is not easy to get the separate areas to lock in place, but I suppose that will come with use. I had reviewed several food processors before I purchased this one. It was chosen the winner at Cooks Country, and had good reviews by owners of this product. Overall, really pleased with this food processor, and even though we are not a large family, I decided to purchase the larger processor, so it could do pretty much anything I desired a food processor to do.
I love my Cuisinart! My husband gave me one approximately 1981. I used it often in my cooking and bread making until 2016 when it stopped working. He recently gave me another one just like it and I am using it again and loving it! I strongly recommend this brand of food processor to anyone interested in purchasing one to make their cooking quicker and easier.
I switched to the Cuisinart 14 cup food processor from a Kitchenaid. The differences are amazing. Firstly, it is very efficient and easy to use. The power is top notch. And, it is so easy to clean. No crevices like in the Kitchenaid.
