I have no complaints with the DFP-14 Food Processor although at first I found it awkward to assemble, but once I got the hang of it I was okay. The processoritself is great - it is convenient, dishwasher safe, slices and shreds perfectly. A real time saver. But the instruction booklet leaves a lot to be desired. I finally resorted to watching YouTube tutorials on it's use. Also I would recommend purchasing the locking case that holds the blades and accessory pieces.

I got this as an upgrade because my old food processor was so loud and inconsistent. I've chopped carrots, onions, celery, potatoes (the celery ended up being very stringy) and it was all quick, easy and the cuts were all even. I grated cheese and that was a bit messy, but clean-up was easy because there are very few grooves on the inside of the cup for food to get stuck in. Very well thought-out design.

Overall it does its job well enough at chopping up food. I only have two cons about this food processor. First, when I went to chop graham crackers, the dry particles of the graham cracker did a *poof* and leaked out the top (not out the entrance point but on the edge of the top lid). You would think the top is sealed, but it's not. Second, when using the discs to slice, the last quarter inch gets caught in the top part of the disc and just spins around and around.

I have owned a Cuisinart for forty years and my new 14 cup model is the best yet. Although I loved the older models, this one is easier to clean as the lid is designed to come apart unlike earlier ones. I also jumped at the chance to purchase this one in RED! It sits proudly on the counter as the centerpiece of my kitchen.

Replaced my old machine &happy to say that Cusinart has made it even better. I liked my old one and it served me well for overt 20 years old, but like this even more. Also,appreciate that the bowl and all its components can be put in the dishwasher. The plastic still looks brand-new after being used & washed for almost 6 months. The machine is as expected a powerhouse and does what it's supposed to efficiently & very quickly.

Does a good job at slicing almost everything. Does a good job of picking up small stuff under the blade. Plenty of power. I'm still finding new ways to use it. My only qualm, I wish the edge design on the chopping blade was a little different. More durable.
