I gave my old, smaller Cuisinart to a friend who is thrilled with it but not as thrilled as I am to have this much larger machine, which cuts, slices and chops so many ingredients ever so quickly and well. I'm making my own pizza dough for the first time and saving a lot of "dough" as a result. I am very happy that I treated myself to this terrific upgrade.
I’ve owned and used Cuisinart processors for over 25 years. This one is a bit larger than my previous machines and I’ve had to get used to a few changes in set up and operation, but the machine performs flawlessly and does a great job of food prep of yeast doughs, chopped and grated vegetables. Some of the operational changes make it a bit awkward but part of that is getting used to changes like the lock function being on the opposite end of the bowl.
We managed to get by for a while using a blender to do our food processing and I won’t be going back. This is fast, powerful, and easy to use and clean. The grating and slicing features make quick work of veggies.
Finally took my new processor out for a spin and was so happy with its large capacity and ease of use. Sorry I waited so long to replace my very old, much smaller unit.
Finally splurged and got the real deal. This is a super sturdy professional level machine. I puree sweet potatoes on a routinely. The only thing I had a problem with was making pizza dough and it may have been because I don't have the right attachment.
I am pretty lazy and don't have the best knife skills so this machine is a real time-save for me when I have a lot of veggies to get through. I do like it if I plan to grate a lot cheese at once too. But I don't pull this bad boy out when I only have a little chopping or grating because I don't run my dishwasher every day, so then I end up needing to hand wash it and the end of the meal prep.
