My previous Cuisinart food processor had served me faithfully for so MANY years that when I broke a tiny plastic piece on the lid, a replacement part was no longer available. So I went out the same day to find a Cuisinart that was as close to my old one as I could find. I didn't even consider buying another brand.
I love my new one with it's larger capacity. I use it almost daily for EVERYTHING- from making pesto, to humus, for preparing salad ingredients, actually for all the veggies I chop and shred for various dishes, for shredding both soft cheese for Mexican recipes or quickly "grating" a whole chunk of parmesan for Italian dishes, for one-bowl preparation of my healthy date muffins...the list goes on. I would be lost without my "workhorse." It's solid feeling - heavy duty enough to handle any task, but light enough for me, at over 75 years of age, to pick it up and tuck it away on a bottom shelf when not in use. Love it!

I bought this to replace an older and much heavier food processor made by another company. This does everything it is supposed to do and does it well. It comes with a slicing disk, a shredding disk and the steel "S" blade. Although you can buy additional blades, the three that are included are all that you really need. I would buy this product again and highly recommend it.

The Custom 14 Cup food processor is a very helpful machine for day to day tasks, and the only remark is the lack of calibration of the slicing blade. The blade that comes with machine cuts fairly thick slices, and sometimes we'd prefer thinner slices, which is not possible with this food processor. Otherwise, I am very happy with the Cuisinart 14 Cup food processor.
