I previously had a different brand food processor that broke and I replaced with the same one and was not satisfied with the performance. I decided to go with this brand and have found that although it doesn't have some of the bells and whistles that my previous brand had this is far superior in terms of performance. In the instruction book it says to tightly load the chute for shredding and slicing, I find when I do this there is hardly any waste of the product, when I wasn't able to tightly load the chute (due to the quantity I was using) the waste (the part that didn't get shredded) was greater but still a small part. I would say so far the two negatives is that it didn't come with a case to hold all the compartments (I had to buy that separately) and I wish there was the ability to decide the shred/slice size. I have no issues with performance and have been using this most days!
The Cuisinart-Custom 14 replaced my Cuisiinart DLC-7E food processor whose work bowl cracked and could not be replaced. However, the motor still works as well as all the attachments. Hopefully, the work bowl for the Custom 14 will last as long as the motor base. I made a zucchini quiche using the slicer, grater, and chopping blade which shortened the preparation time. Of course, the quiche turned out great! Does anyone need the motorbike for a DLC-7E food processor?
I still miss my old 70'd steel bodied "first love"

I purchased this 14 cup and it's fine. The lid seems a little stiff and non-intuitive/awkward; but I suspect after using it over time, that will cure itself.
Since I could no longer find a replacement bowl for my ancient (but still perfectly running) metal body model; I had to bite the bullet and buy this; but I really DO prefer my 70's model to this one.
This is a replacement for the one I bought several years ago. This last one was so hard to open and close. I had to have help. With my new one, the top opens with one finger. Just like the Cuisinart video.
I purchased my Cuisinart food processor recently, after much research of other processors. I'm very happy with its performance, and particularly like the weight of the machine. It's so steady on the countertop and doesn't bounce around!
This is the best kitchen appliance I could ever want. I made coleslaw for a huge crowd in a matter of minutes. Ten minute frozen yogurt made with frozen fruit was a real treat for the grandkids. I make meatballs loaded with vegetables for the boys. Veggies were processed in no time and were well hidden for the non-vegetable matter.
