We bought this as a replacement to another brand and it is so much more efficient and easier to use! The motor is a nice heavy duty one. So far we have used it to grate hard cheese and to purée a vegetable spread. I think that whoever designed this food processor has listened to people who use it!

After seeing this processor reviewed on "Americas test Kitchen" , we decided to purchase the Cuisinart Custom 14. The machine is solid, runs super quiet, & has a very strong motor that has not hesitated even when shredding hard potatoes. We like that you can wash every thing in the dish washer except the motor, but that cleans up nicely with just a wipe of a dish cloth. It looks great in our kitchen too.

I have been wanting this processor for a very long time, and when it went on sale I couldn't resist getting it. I have a stand mixer which comes in handy for some items, but this has made having fun in the kitchen even better. Well worth the wait and the money. Such a wonderful workhorse
