I was hoping to reuse blades from my previous Cuisinart machines. Alas, the spindle is slightly different so no luck. Also, it seems that while this is bigger and heavier than previous machines, I'm not sure it blends/processes as well.
This is my second Cuisinart Processor. My first one was over 20 years old. This is a quality product and does its job extremely well. I prepare my homemade mayo with ease. I would and have recommended this processor.
I have waited years to buy a food processor. Glad i read other reviews because they were right in saying the Cuisinart is the best. What a great machine. I can whip up a batch of Scones in fraction of the time it used to take. The pluse button is wisely wide and easy to access. I could go on and on about the features but i believe I'd only be echoing what other cooks have already said. If there is a negative, i'd have to day that when you pulse flour, some of it will puff out of the sides of the bowl until the wet ingredients are incorporated. Not sure how much of a fault this really is but expect to wip flour off your machine and around it when you're done. Dispite that little inconvenience i rate this machine 5 starts. If you're in the market for a food processor look no further than the Cuisinart :)
I bought this food processor to replace a small one (by another manufacturer) that I've had for 25 years. I'm incredibly happy with this purchase. The design, weight, function, quality and ease of use of this food processor are all excellent. The large cup size and weight of the base mean I can easily make and knead bread in this machine. I have had no issues with cleaning it and there are no leaking issues at all. The small liquid tube is invaluable. Such a wonderful design!
