This is my second Cuisinart Food processor...my DLC-7 is 27 years old and still working. I purchased a new one to use the old one at our vacation home. I have many attachments and the slicing/shredding disc blades work on my new 14 cup model. I am happy with my new processor as it operates the same and is just as easy to use.
I wanted to replace my current food processor and this one was reviewed and highly recommended by America’s Test Kitchen. It was a fantastic price, easy to use, clean etc.
Okay, this one has the heavy duty motor and is very solid. Nothing fussy, but grinds away like crazy. I had another model that’s as a lightweight motor and a couple of speeds, but it was falling apart within a year. My first Cuisinart lived to the ripe old age of 27. So back to this model, the dicing attachment, winch is very cool, does not work with this model. Jeez. I wish they would think outside the box a little.
I had to buy a new food processor after Cuisinart stopped supporting my old DLC-8. The latest bowl, which didn't really fit, finally broke. But since I bought the old one in 1982, I guess it was time. The new one works perfectly and since the bowl is bigger, that's a plus, too.
