It is very difficult to lock the top onto the base. I hardly use this product because I get so frustrated trying to get the top to lock onto the base. f I could return the product, I would. A very expensive mistake. Maybe that is why this product has been discontinued.

I am learning to cook. My new food processor has helped me greatly by reducing the tedious chopping and mixing. I don't cry so much anymore with onions. It has made cooking easier for me. The machine is heavy, stable, and very well made. It is difficult to find this level of quality in anything these days. I highly recommend it.

I love it!!!! I did have a hard time getting it to start but that was my fault for not making sure everything was locked in place, a great safety issue! The blades do a fantastic job and perfect size bowl.

It's my first time EVER using a food processor, and I'm loving it! (Why did I not buy this contraption 15 years ago?) It's made life in the kitchen so much easier. Chopping? Done. Mincing? Done. Slicing? Also done. What would have taken me 30 minutes is reduced to five. Clean up immediately afterwards adds about three more minutes. (I won't put it in the dishwasher, even though it says it can be cleaned that way. ) I also purchased a storage container that's specifically designed for the flat blades.)

I've owned a Cuisinart Food Processor since 1981. When this processor gave out this year, there was no question about what brand was replacing it. The new machine is as good as my 38 year old processor!
