Poor quality for Cafe brand name

Cafe brand microwave with trim kit installed by builder (Chesmar Homes) in 2018. After 3 years of use, magnetron failed - trying to understand how the so call limited warranty works but getting the run around. How a supposedly "high-end" appliance can fail after 3 years of use when much "cheaper" models are operable for over 10 years, seems ridiculous. Additionally, with a trim kit not being useable by other similar models also seems unreasonable!
Very surprising given the GE reputation.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

According to your warranty, for the period of five years from the date of the original
purchase, GE Appliances will choose to either replace the unit or replace the magnetron tube, if the magnetron tube fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship. During this five-year limited warranty, you will be responsible for any labor or in-home service cost. We bought this to go with the French Door Oven. We've used it mostly as a micro, but have tried the convection oven feature as well. The main reason we're giving it only 4 stars is the glass turntable does not stay in place and often comes out of it's track. Additionally, in microwave mode, it doesn't show the temp setting that you're using which would be a nice to have feature that I had in previous microwaves. But all in all, it does what it advertises and I am able to have both a micro and an extra oven.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Too Small and under powered

This was in the appliance package from our builder. It is a very small microwave and under powered. It looks ridiculous over our oven. It looks like a small microwave that a student would have in their room. I would never have bought this microwave on my own. And to put it in the Cafe series is and call it a "built in" is so wrong.

Loving my new Microwave

This is new but I bought this convection/microwave because my new range was only a single oven and during holidays you need extra for casseroles. This oven is not oversized at all but you could stack two casseroles in it for cooking. I built mine into the wall and it doesn't take up a lot of cabinet space. I love that you just push 1 or 2, 3 and the microwave just automatically cooks for a minute, 2 min or etc. I did notice that it takes a little longer but I've had huge mwaves that absorbed the counter but cooked quicker. I like it thus far. Haven't used the convection yet.
