Bought a new house and the cafe appliance package is what we went with. Microwave is failing after just a couple of years. Touch pad is going out and so is the digital clock. Of course these issues started after our third year and they just keep getting worse. Will need to replace the microwave by the end of the year.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We recommend attempting to reset the appliance when things like this occur. You can do this by simply unplugging the microwave for 2-3 minutes, or by resetting the circuit breaker. Not worth the cost

Missed expectations

It's a great looking unit.
The display stopped working about 1.5-2 years into ownership. The buttons stopped working shortly after that. Looking for replacement parts but they will cost almost as much as a new microwave.
Do not enjoy writing negative reviews so that is all.

Worst microwave we have ever owned.
Started failing within a year and totally useless after 3.
I do not believe was used 50 times. For premium price, a lot more was expected.

Overpriced cabinet ornament.

I purchased the entire kitchen set in this color, and my refrigerator has broken twice, dishwasher 4 times, and this microwave just died!!!! I am so disgusted about how much I paid for the entire set, just for them to die in 4 years or less. 😭

Garbage!

When we built our home in 2018 we installed GE Cafe appliances in our kitchen.. We are now regretting that decision. The microwave and cooktop didn't even last 3 years before they started having issues. The numbers on the microwave display started disappearing and just this morning it quit working altogether forcing us to look for a replacement. Whatever happened to GE appliances that used to last 20 years? We will be looking for another brand as a replacement!!!
