Door won’t open

Overall it seems to be a good enough microwave. I love the convection feature. Unfortunately the door release started out having trouble engaging the mechanism to open the door. Then the first time we used the convection feature it some how completely broke the door and now the door will not open unless we pry it open with a tool , something I’m no willing to do. So 2 weeks after getting the microwave it is now unusable and we have a 2 week wait before someone will come out to look at it. You’d think a higher end microwave would last longer and have better costumer service.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Complicated

This microwave was included in our new home purchase. The microwave itself is fine but I simply cannot understand why a microwave would be combined with a convection oven. I would much rather have a microwave combined with radiant heat, to provide convenience, speed, and browning.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not worth the money

I bought this when I build my house 2 years ago. Didn’t even get 2 years of use and it stopped working. I had to complain about the quality of their products to get GE to cover the service call because apparently they only cover their products for a year then basically you’re on your own. Service guy came out and had to order a major component which I’m guessing GE isn’t going to cover. Did I mention they had to replace my GE Cafe Refrigerator within the first year cause it broke. I can’t even express how disappointed I am in the quality and company itself
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This microwave cooks veggies and defrosts food more evenly than other models. Using combination microwave/convection cooking on baked potatoes with excellent results.

Great features but…

I received this six weeks ago and I love the size and features but the key pad does not hold up! I have a two person household and we use it maybe two or three times a day max but already the key pad is bubbling up and peeling. That’s the only reason I’m knocking off two stars. Otherwise it would be five. Let’s see how the warranty performs…..more to come.
