Great looking microwave - works as expected

Bought as part of overall appliance refresh with all Cafe gear. Microwave works fine. It was smaller than I expected but that's my fault for not looking at the specs and would have bought it anyway for the overall look. Only use basic features so not much to report on for microwave deep cuts.

Disappointing purchase

This is our first GE microconvection oven but our third overall. So, I am reviewing from a place of experience with these types of appliances. My first lasted almost 20 years, the second 7 yrs (neither GE). I love convection cooking & ability to combine with micro for faster cooking. Liked the features it offered & chose it because it was reduced. It is a nice looking appliance. The keys to choose functions are not easy to respond when you press them, sometimes have to push more than once for a function to start. I am disappointed that the temperature only goes up to 425 degrees. My last one went to 475, so I need to use my oven for cooking at higher temps. It is difficult to set the temp for a micro/convection cook. It doesn't have a sensor reheat function as a micro. It has a sensor cook which seems to be for cooking not a reheat function. It also takes longer to preheat than my last one. I like that it has a broiler unit. The racks are smaller in diameter than the glass turntable making it hard to place pizzas that call to be placed directly on the rack. The 1.5 cu ft seems to be used up in depth compared to my last ones that had more height to accommodate my casseroles with their lids.
I'll adjust to it, it's just different.....not enough to bring it back.

Digital keypad failure

One year and one month later the mw keypad failed on some buttons. We are not able to even set the time or set a cook time.

Best defrost feature

Nice microwave

Purchased this microwave since it matched the other Café series appliances we purchased. Also installed in a cabinet to so it has a custom install appearance. Other than that it seems like pretty much any decent microwave.
I would recommend this to a friend!
