Great looking machine but needs some tech changes.

Purchased early August 2016 due to a major renovation of my apartment. Very good product:
1. Does get clothes clean and dries (best on "Heavy Duty" setting).
2. Absolutely beautiful machine (slate grey).
BUT:
3. Needs a time indicator: There should be an indicator telling you what stage the wash is in (wash, spin, rinse, etc) AND how much time is left.
4. Slight design flaw: I appreciate how huge both the washer and dryer drums (insides) are amazing how a stack-able can take so much laundry...but I have to lean into the machine and practically put my head inside the washer drum to reach the clothes and to get clothes out (I'm 6 ft tall and it's difficult to do). I don't know how people under 6 ft deal with it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Just what we wanted

We wanted a combo set but with greater capacity than others on the market. This was perfect. The color was an added bonus! Easy to install and operate. We are having an issue with the sensors on the dryer but have been using timed dry with great success while we work through the sensor issues with very good customer service

Clothes not getting clean!

Love the color, but I agree it does need a display to let you know what cycle it is on or how much time is left. I don't think it is getting our clothes clean. We always have dirt in our dryer by the lint screen and I am noticing clothes in washer have dirt on the top item.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Kimoc, I have heard your voice and am forwarding your observations about the lack of a display to our design engineers for consideration in future models. Nebraska has very hard water, some granular detergents can combine with hard water minerals and form a residue. Try increasing the water temperature using the hottest water safe for the fabric. Use liquid detergent or use non-precipitating water conditioner with powder detergent. Remember to add items one at a time, each tightly bunched into its own “ball” to allow beneficial item interaction. Avoid loading items in a flat, laid-out fashion (different from the way I learned to load a washing machine!). For the lint and residue you are finding in the dryer, ensure you are shaking any excessive sand or soil from the items before laundering. Use either a liquid or sheet fabric softener. Occasionally a waxy build-up may form on the lint filter and/or moisture sensing bars from using dryer-added fabric softener sheets. Page 17 in your Owner’s Manual goes over how to clean them. Expensive for the basics

Got this because its stackable and we don't have space for many of the new washer and dryers in an old small laundry room. Basic features you would expect on a modern washer and dryer are non existent on this model. No way to see how much longer on a wash/dry cycle which I think it absolutely absurd. If my roommate starts a load when I'm not there, I don't know if it has an hour left or 1 minute left. My close are soaking wet sometimes so it might have other issues. I usually don't write reviews but had to rant on this one.

Great machine

I agree with all the conpliments above, only when i set on cold or colder and then normal.. I only get hot water coming through. This has happened to 2 seperate machines I have gotten in the last week, first one got damaged on route. Hope u can help with the temerature problem.

Poor performance

I bought this product and April and it has required service twice. It looks great but the new knob/electronic selector is not built to last the test of time. There are only two people in my home and we wash twice a week.....maybe.
