Dryer broken within 45 days after 20 loads of wash
on August 11, 2016

from Capistrano Beach, CA.
This dryer keeps losing internal screws - it is only 45 days installed and does 3 loads a week. It has been two full weeks that I am waiting for parts and then will most likely get the same run around I've received so far as to when the repair can take place. This is for my 86 year old mother, and so far it is a hot mess!

Satisfaction Remains To Be Seen

We received delivery of this unit 7/16/16. It is my first HE machine, so the wash cycles are unfamiliar and a bit confusing. (Trying to figure out what the various noises mean, etc.) I find that I can fill the washer a little more than half-way, and when the clothes go in the dryer, it seems overloaded, and items come out wrinkled as a result. But no complaints so far as the clothes coming out clean and fresh, despite the little bit of water utilized. At this very moment however, I am waiting for a technician from the retailer to arrive. One of the baffles in the dryer is not seated properly, and is surrounded by denting, and I am fairly certain that is what has caused some spots of melting damage to some thinner garments. Thicker items like towels and jeans do fine. The dryer moisture sensor doesn't seem to work properly, as clothes either end up still damp, or dry for too long on the Heavy Duty setting when I try to combat that problem. (I am NOT overloading!) Lastly, I can hear water sloshing in the bottom of the washer after and between uses, though not visible, just audible when bumping the drum. So, they will determine if these issues are repairable, or they will deliver a new laundry center. If these issues can be sorted out, I'll be very pleased with it.

Washer fine, dryer not so...

From the first day of operation, the dryer shuts off prematurely, especially on the delicate cycle, with the clothes still wet. A local Frigidere repair tech has been called, with an appointment date set for August 18th.

Nicely compact!

Rearranging my small apartment, I decided I needed to go vertical with my washing appliances. This unit is compact, but perfectly functional, although I must confess, with no vertical agitator in the wash tub, I am still getting used to its new noises! It works fine, even given my audio limitations, and I am quite pleased with it!

Works but expect wrinkles

Works ok but no matter what settings we try all those clothes come out so wrinkled even if we taking them out of the dryer toward the begin of dry cycle. Size is perfect for small laundry rooms

Scott s, I can completely relate to the wrinkling challenge you outlined. I know how frustrating this can be. Here are my best practices I have gathered over years of laundry service to my now grown family. Whenever it is an option, choose cold water washing. Either put 1 cup of white, distilled vinegar into the washing machine as if it was softener, or use a good quality softener. No matter what type of washer you have, front- load or top-load, clothes get twisted and tangled during washing and spinning. To cut down on wrinkles you MUST untangle those clothes before they go into the dryer, give them a good shaking out before putting into the dryer. Use the lowest heat setting required. High heat will set wrinkles into fabric and make the wrinkles difficult to remove. And lastly, pull out those blouses and shirts before they are completely done and hang them on a hanger to finish up. I hope this Grandma was able to help! Your friendly Frigidaire lady, Ruth
