Brenda103, I hate to hear how frustrated you are with the laundry center. Let me try to help you! Indiana has hard water, and some granular detergents can combine with hard water minerals and form a residue. Try increasing the water temperature using the hottest water safe for the fabric. Use liquid detergent or use non-precipitating water conditioner with powder detergent. Remember to add items one at a time, each tightly bunched into its own “ball” to allow beneficial item interaction. In a machine with no agitator, plates or discs cause the tub to gently juggle or spin the laundry. Items will be saturated but not covered by water. The unique impeller motion moves clothes through the water, using the motion of clothes against each other to aid in cleaning. Loads are moved from the outside to the middle then down to the outside edges. Avoid loading items in a flat, laid-out fashion (different from the way I learned to load a washing machine!). Laura34, thank you for sharing your laundry center review. I would ask you to please double check the venting coming from the dryer. Restrictions or blockages can cause long drying times, and excessive temperatures that result in damage to internal components and clothes. Vent restrictions and/or blockages can be caused by; Pinched or crushed venting usually caused by pushing the dryer back to the wall (use flexible or rigid tubing not the foil or plastic kind). Not using the lint filter. Birds’ nests, rodents, or broken/missing flapper on the outside vent hood. Lint filter can get clogged by residue from dryer sheets (take the lint filter to the sink and fill with water, if the water does not immediately drain, the filter is clogged), you would clean it by gently using dish detergent, then rinse and dry before reinserting.
