Larger than it looks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine fits in a small space buts deep enough for a comforter comfortably. However it does not allow you to set water amounts or to stop the wash in the middle of a cycle once it starts.
Clothes wash ok but it’s too modern or something for me. I would not buy it again.

Not happy

I live in an apt complex and this is what they give us. First few months, I was fine but now anytime I wash dark clothes I take them out and my clothing has white residue. Now I’m forced to re-wash! The load takes way too long. They say your saving water but yet a small load takes over an hour. The water is way too low. I have stopped the load mid way and saw the level very low. Not happy at all. This machine is costing me more than helping me save money.

AshleyKG, I am dismayed to hear you are disappointed in your new laundry center. In a machine with a low, or no, agitator (like yours), plates or discs cause the tub to gently juggle or spin the laundry. Items will be saturated but not covered by water. The unique impeller motion moves clothes through the water, using the motion of clothes against each other to aid in cleaning. Items will be saturated but not covered by water. This is why laundry should be bunched into its own “ball”, to allow beneficial item interaction (page six in your Owner’s Manual). Estimated cycle time for a normal cycle is 60-90 minutes, casual cycle 40-60 minutes. Detergent residue is a white substance that resembles lint and can leave streaks on garments. Ensure you are using a High Efficiency detergent in the amounts recommended (add to the bottom of the tub before adding your laundry). Some causes may be; hard water, low water pressure, incomplete rinsing caused by an overloaded tub or drum, and powder detergent that does not dissolve. Please see page 12 in your Owner’s Manual for more information. Initial hiccups, 2nd machine works pretty well!

1) sometimes feels like not enough water was used in wash.
2) makes new noises, you get used to it!
3) if you are shorter than 5ft 5" may be difficult to reach to bottom of tub and grab an elusive sock.
4) does not tell you how much longer in cycle to go.
5) I chose this machine because of tight space requirements.. do not be fooled that it says that no or 1 inch only needed for clearance.... I needed a further 4 inches in back for tubing/venting and had to cut into wood floor in front to make it fit... just!
6) dryer works well, nice big capacity, lots of lint so maybe tough on clothes?
7) overall good construction, simple, love metal drums!
8) first machine died after 5 washes, got new machine, wasn't corrected connected in latch/door, so didn't start. Luckily installer was knowledgeable and figured it out.

Worst appliance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this appliance in March 2017, but didn't begin using it until November 2017. By February 2018 or stopped washing completely. It took more than 6 service calls and almost 6 weeks before Frigidaire would replace it. When they did replace it, the company brought a gas laundry center (my condo is electric only) and even fake hooked it up. Another week rolled around before I received the electric replacement. It works, but it's extremely loud and doesn't wash well. Next time I will purchase another brand.

Easy to load and works well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the unit in Feb 2018 and installed it the end of March. Worked well for about 2 weeks than the dryer would not heat. Had a service provider come to house and replaced a fuse which required a complete dis-assembly of the dryer unit. Has been working well for about a week now.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Horrible Washer

I’ve had the washer/dryer for about a yr and a half and have hated it since wash one.
Blankets do not come out soft.
If it gets off balance you there is no option to spin the excess water out of the clothes. You have to do a whole new cycle and hope it works the second time.
It also takes over an hour to wash or dry a load of clothes.
