Waste of money

have had this for 2 years and it has never worked properly even after multiple repairs. The soap often stays in the dispenser. It will often not run a cycle even when the button is pressed and the beep sounds indicating it starts. It does a horrible job of drying dishes, even with rinse aid added and hot water is ran through the sink before starting the wash cycle. I never know for sure if it will drain. Buttons are pretty fickle and it's a guess if what you press will actually illuminate. Cancel button is most often one that doesn't work. We prewash everything and dishes will come out with caked on particles.. It does a very poor job of rinsing and even new clear glass dishes get a film. Dirt particles get left on the door, even after I have wiped down machine and sides of washer door. The unit is very quiet and looks nice in the kitchen.

Solid dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dishwasher runs very well. It is quiet and does not interfere with activities in the kitchen. The bottom rack fits plates nicely, although only really on one side. Our only concern we have is the top rack... it is fairly wobbly, so we are not sure how long that will last.

Food ALWAYS left on dishes

I have never owned such a piece of junk. The racks barely slide in and out. It is not user friendly for glasses/dishes arrangement. It starts when not programmed to do so. And the WORST problem: at times I have to rewash a third of the dishes even after rinsing them before putting them in the dishwasher. I have NEVER had to rinse dishes before washing with any of the other 6 dishwashers of various brands I have owned.

Washes poorly

Our glasses never come out clean. Many times we have to run the dish washer several times. Lately we have just been hand washing. We always pre wash and clean out the filter. We have a brand new home and have to replace the dishwasher.

Thank you for sharing your dishwasher experience, Mwalsh. Before moving on from this dishwasher, let me try to help you. There are many conditions that can impact cleaning and drying, the most common being temperature. The “sweet” spot for water temperature is between 120-130 degrees for the best cleaning and drying potential. If you are uncertain if your water is the appropriate heat, check your water heater's temperature reading. To help get the hottest water to your dishwasher, try letting water run in your sink until it’s hot (like you do before getting in the shower). This "primes the pump", it gets hotter water to your dishwasher faster. Your dishwasher uses about 3-4 gallons per cycle, limiting the opportunity the water has to warm up if it doesn’t start off hot enough. Don’t forget to use rinse aid, it really makes a difference. Check to make sure the rinse aid dispenser is full. The dispenser window may show a dot to indicate its level, or it may function like a fuel gauge. If the dispenser is low, remove the cap and fill the reservoir (page 14 in your Owner’s Manual). Be sure to clean the filters regularly (page 15 in your Owner’s Manual). Selecting the heat dry option in combination with rinse aid will enhance drying performance. Texas has notoriously hard water and that can negatively impact your dishwasher’s effectiveness. Please see pages 12-13 in your Owner’s Manual for more information on hard water. Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reconnect with us by calling our Customer Engagement Center at 888-203-1389. The hours for the CEC are 8am to 8pm Eastern Monday through Friday and Saturday 8am to 6pm. Your Electrolux friend, Ruth

Overall, mostly happy

I have had this for just over a year. I have some complaints about it, but overall it works pretty well. I finally figured out why the detergent dispenser sometimes has soap remaining after a wash: you can NOT load anything tall (like dinner plates or a big bowl) in the front of the bottom rack at all. Only small plates and cereal bowls for the front. This is an annoying quirk, and something that if I had known ahead of time, I probably would have chosen a different model. Also, as many other people have mentioned, the "touch" controls are annoying. The "start" button never works on the first press...I have learned that I just keep pressing it until it beeps back at me in protest, then I close the door and it starts. If the buttons lit when pressed, this would be better. On the positive side, I love the fast wash - it's what I use the most. And, when dishes are loaded in the proper way (remember, don't load tall items in the front), the dishes come out clean. The wine glass holders are great.
