Works good and quiet, but had some problems!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this in December of 2015. We have been impressed with how quiet the dishwasher is, and the good use of space inside. We have had problems, though! A few weeks ago, my wife loaded and started the machine. Then she found a glass she missed, stopped the machine, put the glass in, and pushed Start again. Nothing happened. She kept cancelling the previous command and re-starting it, but nothing would happen. This went on for 30 minutes - still wouldn't start. I checked the electric breaker, but that wasn't the problem. Finally, I called the 800 number, but they couldn't figure it out either. So, they had to contact a local repair company, who came out and put two new boards in the dishwasher. Everything started working again. Apparently, one of the boards was not working, probably the front panel board. After the repair, it gave us messages that had never been there, and were supposed to have been.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It's a sanitizer and not a dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased the dishwasher after looking through the positive reviews it had. The dishwasher's control panel was a bit finicky and didn't always work properly. We had to unplug it several times because it would not cancel the setting. The dishwasher was very quiet when it would run but we started hearing it run more when it got closer to a 1 year mark. That is when we noticed that it would run for 4+ hours when it was suppose to run for 2 hours or so. We had someone come check it out since it ran so long, along with not washing the dishes well. The technician said if you don't run hot water in your kitchen sink prior to running the dishwasher, it will cause your dishwasher to run a lot longer to get the hot water going. Also mentioned the dishwasher is more of a sanitizer than a dishwasher since you need to make sure you wash your dish prior to putting it in the machine. I usually rinse my dishes prior to putting it in but obviously that wasn't enough. The racks also do not stay put with my dishes. I have to wedge bowls in between the racks So the dishes don't fall over. Overall, they don't make them like they use to, although they claim it saves water and energy. It runs longer and uses more water at the same time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have confidence that our Authorized Service Provider is working diligently to return your dishwasher to factory specifications. I have some ideas to help with cleaning! The “sweet” spot for water temperature is between 120-125 degrees (at the water heater) for the best cleaning and drying potential. Ensure you run the water in the sink until it is hot (like you do before getting in the shower). Not doing this will increase your washing time significantly as the dishwasher tries to bring the water up to temperature. Don’t forget the rinse aid (it really makes a difference)! Using the high temp wash or sanitize can also improve cleaning and drying performance. Quality tests are continually conducted to provide the consumer with the best appliance possible in the industry. Dishawasher Review

The company we bought it from offered a warranty on all our other Electrolux appliances except this dishwasher. After 18 months, the panel disfunctioned and the company doesn't offer a replacement part

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this just over month ago, but bought it as a floor model. When it was installed the clips to hold in place we not with it, so I had to order directly from Electrolux. Unfortunately they were on backorder and I finally just received and installed before Christmas (after the slow shipping). It seems to work well but the controls can be a bit difficult to use. I'm sure I;ll figure them out with more usage. I do like the top shelf for the silverware.

Cleans well

I bought about 9 months ago and have had some problems. Cleans very well, however there seems to be some design problems. There is a small tank on the left side of the machine that aids with the water intake. This tank has a built in opening that seems to let warm water vapor escape the machine to the outside. This has caused a build up of mold on the inside of the wood cabinet on that side of the machine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

In your installation tips 2, under installation preparation, it states; as a precaution, it is recommended, but not required that the cabinets enclosing all sides of the dishwasher (including the underside of the countertop) be sealed with an oil based paint or moisture-proof polyurethane to prevent possible steam/moisture damage.
