I just purchased the XP-400 all in one and so far it has performed as ell as another brand all-in-one for three times the cost. I hope I can say the same thing in a year.

A Great Basic Printer

I needed to replace my NX415 that died after only 2.5 years operation (bummer!). I liked its mechanical buttons, but Epson no longer makes it, and it was going to cost more to repair it than I paid for it. So with trepidation I returned to Epson, and was not disappointed. This printer has large, crisp, bright easy to read icons on the touchscreen control panel, is quieter than the NX415, and comes with a thorough HARD COPY installation and instruction manual. I HATE touchscreens, but this one could make me a convert. It (like most other new printers) has wireless capability, which I don't need since my computer does not have wireless. Installation proceeded quickly and flawlessly. Epson has strengthened the paper trays--a weak point on the NX415--though they still need to be beefier. I am concerned about reported high ink usage and cost--time will tell if that is valid concern. Now about that 2.5 year operating life...!

My sister picked this out for me because it is not too large and will print, copy and scan, including photos. I set it up for wireless printing amazingly quickly and easily. I am a technology ignoramus and usually have to have help with anything more complex than a toaster, so that was a joy. The quality of the prints is excellent and the color is true. I am very happy with this printer. My only nit to pick is that the WiFi disconnects occasionally but that may be more a function of my WiFi service than your printer.

My other printer was old, and fizzeled out on me..just needed something very basic. The price was right and the size. The first time I used it to copy a doc., I was pleased...very fast, and clear.
Haven't done anything else yet, so far so good.

I just hooked the printer up today. I was a little worried. I am 73 years old. I never had to do this before by myself. With all the instructions it was so easy. This is my second Epson printer.

Excellent Printer

I have a chiropractic office, and one of my goals was to make it feel relaxed as possible. I immediately knew that I wanted a wireless office, including a printer. The Epson Expression Home XP-400 was incredibly easy to set up (under 10 minutes from the time I opened the package to printing). The quality of the printing is excellent, and the printer is relatively quiet! I definitely would recommend this to anyone looking for an incredibly affordable wireless printer!

Epson XP-400

I was amazed at the ease with which the software was installed. I use the printer/scanner in my motorhome while on the road. I have to have a printer/scanner to keep up with my online business no matter where I may be. This printer is light and compact but is still powerful enough to satisfy all my requirements. It stores away in one of our overhead compartments with ease. It also has the capability of use with my smartphone.
