This printer is too slow. Wish I had purchased a better Epson.

Everything looks good. The price is good. BUT- printing an e-mail sends a blank sheet out and then the e-mail when I am using my I-Pad.
So far, no fix.

Frustrating, cheap but really expensive

While the unit is cute and attractive, I would not recommend it. Color print speed is frustratingly slow, perhaps three minutes to print one page. After only a handful of color prints, it will require that you change the ink cartridges.
The software is AWFUL. It looks like twenty year old software and is ugly and primitive.
In addition to sucking up ink, when halfway through printing a page and you have to change a cartridge, it will stop printing then continue printing in the middle of the page causing you to waste ink and two pieces of paper. When you try to print a full page poster, it will not fit the items to frame and will chop off the top and bottom, making you have to reframe the item in your photo editing software and reprint it.
As a scanner there is terrible flare causing you to have to rescan multiple times.

Will Not do WI-Fi

After 12 attemps to get the printer to print from my wi-fi network, I am now goint to have to go into the connectivity manual and try again. It sees the wi-fi network, but I cannot get any type of computer (PC or Mac) to find it and print to it. I especially wanted it to use Airprint - that this seems unlikely.
It works fine as a printer connected directly to a computer - but this is NOT what I bought it for.

Great Buy

I would consider this a great buy. Currently, I am attending school online and print many of my ebooks, so it gets rigorous, almost daily, use by myself as well as my son. Aside from frequently running out of ink and the cost of the inks, this printer has churned out many a copies, scans and prints within the short time we have owned it. I have only used it for photographs once, but it worked great for 4" x 6" prints. I love how there are no wires, as my last Epson all-in-one was yanked off the desk by our dog running around and getting tangled in the cords when she was playing with my son.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not a bad deal

I bought the XP-400 for the AirPrint capability. Install was easy, although had to look a bit for the USB port (user manual did not indicate location). When printing from PC/Windows or MacBook using wi-fi, print quality is just as GOOD as my other more expensive color printers (after setting up for type of paper and photo) -- however print speed is SLOW. When printing from iPhone 5 using AirPrint, Camera and Photos apps assume 4x6 premium glossy photo paper -- this default setting CANNOT be modified, so print quality is POOR when printing on plain paper.
