Opinion of the EPSON XP-400 ALL IN ONE PRINTER

It's nothing special, but for the money, this serves my needs. I have made the mistake of not using genuine ink cartridges, and I have also suffered printer experience because of it. The print came out light, and garbled, to the extreme, couldn't even see the print. I troubleshoot, several times, but couldn't get any where. I basically ended up reinstalling the whole printer system from the beginning. At this print, I would say, Epson is OK....but one never knows, does one...
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love Epson products and I bought this printer due to it's smaller size. Criticism: 1) control panel is complicated to use, especially when you want to find the change cartridge selection. 2) Sometimes ink does not get to printhead and I have to stop and clean printheads and align the unit. Otherwise, I like it.

Set up was easy and the printer worked right off, but, after 4-5 pages the printer heads needed cleaning in order to get a good quality print, ie there were white lines thru the page. After every 4-5 prints the heads need cleaning. After only a dozen pages printed the black ink cartridge is only half full due to all the cleaning necessary. Good printer, lousy cartridges.

This printer prints really good picture, but way to slow and uses to much ink...even office doc are really slow

I was looking for a good affordable printer for all of my home needs. The Epson XP-400 is perfect for my wireless printing from my computer and smart phone. Very cost affective, affordable. The ink replacement cost was a very high selling point for me also. It has all of the features that I use, large readout on the printer, print copy scan directly from the printer without using your computer. Very easy to setup was a great bonus! Would recommend to family and friends.
