Great print quality, but devours ink like crazy

I think the title of this review says it all, but to expand slightly, I am impressed by the print quality of the XP-400. I am less impressed by the "low ink" warnings which seem to kick in after the first dozen color pages are printed. I realize that the high print quality requires more ink, but the tolerance level could be set a bit lower so that the user isn't accosted by reminders for three weeks before the ink ACTUALLY needs to be replaced.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not user friendly

Would not have another one if you gave it to me. I've had more problems with this printer than any prior printer/copiers. The window for getting printing information is not user friendly and there was no instructions on setup or problem solving provided.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

User Friendly, Great Value

I needed something that could print using my home wireless network. My Android phone also uses this network as well.
The XP-400 was a perfect selection to print from both of these devices.
All I needed to do for my Samsung phone was to down load the Epson I Print app.
The software CD was all needed to print from my PC.

Great little printer

Got this for strictly home use, although I could see it being great at the small office, as well. Set up couldn't be easier. I also got it for my iPad. Simply downloaded the app and selected connect wireless on the printer. In less than one minute I was printing directly from my iPad. My laptop operates much the same. Love it!

Easy compact wifi

With the Epson xp-400 it was easy to get started and ready to use immediately after initialization and set-up. We printed the test page and right away could just see the superior quality in the print job and fast, the printer fires out the pages quickly, offering the same superior quality on our first big job which included complicated fonts and images loaded with color. Thank you Epson; Keep up the great work!

Print comes out pink.Goes thru ink like crazy also!Tried all the head and nozzle cleaning tips with no luck. Lesson learned,will try a laser printer next.

minor flaw.

set up was easy. i'm not a geek with computers. i followed the instructions with no problems. prints good pictures. i did not give 5 stars because the stop on the out feed tray broke off. one of the posts sheared off on the outlet tray. Had to tape the stop to the tray.

Not recommended- even when on sale

At first, I really liked this little printer. It printed pictures and resumes. it was easy to set up on my wireless. 6 months of very light use later.... I'm many ink carts in and it will never print clearly- constantly cleaning it.... and now it only sometimes finds a computer on network to scan to (communication error!!). so lame. what a waste of money.
