basically this is ok for just black and white printing only.
for photos forget it the quality is not there.I would not buy any small in one by Epson again.
I had an artisan 815 and it was the greatest photo printing I have ever had but anything with plastic gears goes to junk after a few years.

Printer had good reviews so I bought it. Got home and no ink cartridges. Back to store for ink and then found that the ink was a three pack. Had to go back and get a black cartage. It set up fast and easy and works well. am surprised that it is so quiet. This is the third Epson I have got. Loved all of them. First time they didn't come with ink...

I am not happy with my printer. The scan is not working and I have done everything it says except calling in. I have not called in because of the holidays.

XP 400 has been outstanding !!
Can't imagine a printer for this price doing as good overall job as this little jewel!!
I would recommend to any home office.
