Easy setup and true color reproduction are strong points. ePrint and WiFi print work fine. No problem working with Windows 8. I haven't used this long enough to judge the ink life but at least the cost of it is reasonable than others.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very slow--90sec per page. Acceptable for printing but for those who scan most of the time, they would be disappointed.

So I got the printer/scanner/copier/ect... home and followed the easy to understand instructions for getting it set up and working with my computer and it was so simple; which is what everyone looks for in any sort of electronics in the first place. Once hooked up via USB I decided to test out all the features and everything worked wonderfully. The printer is quiet and quick and prints beautifully. It also uses special ink that dries instantly so no having to worry about getting ink on your hands or other pages printed. It copied and scanned beautifully. Very detailed scanning. I was all in one (lol) impressed. For the price of the unit, I couldn't have made a better choice. Sure there's better all in ones out there but they cost so much more and honestly when it comes to print, scan and copy quality you'd be hard pressed to notice much of a difference. I also love the color display on the unit. Thats what caught my eye really. My advice to anyone looking to purchase an all in one printer I suggest you give this one a try and hey; if you don't lik it you can always return it and get something else, right?! Anyways, I don't normally take the time to write reviews for electronics I purchase cause I figure there's already enough reviews out there already but for this one I just had to to show my appreciation to Epson for making such a high quality yet affordable all in one printer. So Epson let me just say thank you for making this such a simple and enjoyable experience. You've surely gained a new customer for life!

You have the ink prices locked up. I figure that in a year I will pay as much for ink as I paid for the printer. My last Epson.

New machine

I just installed the XP-400 and the installation proceeded without any hitches and in a very short period of time. It was easy and the printer works very well. Pages are printed very quickly. The icons are clearly marked and easy to use.
I would recommend this to a friend!
