Not Worth It

This is junk. The ink runs out quickly and having to clean the nozzels uses up the small amount of ink. It is very frustrating trying to get a quality print when I am frequently having to clean the nozzels. The ink cartridges don't last long so although this seems like a great buy, Epson makes up for it by you having to buy alot of ink. I wouldn't suggest this printer to anyone

Waste of $$$$

This printer worked for about 3 months when all of the sudden in no longer wanted to print black copies. I purchased 2 cartridges, did all updates and still won't print. Don't buy!!!

Short lived

Machine worked great for about two years. It was a backup printer used only as the air printer for an iPad, so very, very light use. Then the black stopped printing. Changed cartridge, no help. Ran the head cleaning routine over and over and over, still no black. The only thing left was to try one of the jet cleaning kits and they are 20 bucks with no guarantee the problem would be fixed. Looking at reviews, this is not a new or isolated problem. Things wear out, I get that, but when nothing fixes it, and it's apparently a problem for multiple users, that's a bad design.

okay for the first two weeks

The set up was EASY... As a college student I thought this was a great deal... Well it's time for me to start school and the black ink goes out... I finally buy the ink after TWO stores doesn't have it in stock and NOW THE PRINTING IS NOT feeding the paper correctly and I have to replace it.... WASTE OF TIME

Won't Print!

Fresh out of the box. Very easy to set up - loved that - all connected to all home devices within 25 minutes!
But ... nothing comes out on the page :(
The cartridges have ink in them. The hole has been punctured. Nothing on my paper ...

Is not AirPrint friendly

I've always liked the quality of Epson printers when it comes to printing photos. My wife and I needed a new wireless and AirPrint enabled printer because we do a lot from our iPad and iPhones now. We chose the Epson XP 400 because it claimed to be AirPrint enabled. Initial setup for my wireless network was fairly easy. However being able to use AirPrint was horrendous. There are no instructions provided for doing this so you have to try to figure it out on your own. After 2 hours of frustration we finally got the AirPrint to work through a 3rd party epson app. Tried to setup epson connect and remote printing and it just kept sending me in circles. After 4 hours of frustration I boxed it back up and took it back for a refund. Don't waste your time with this printer if you need to use AirPrint.
