Very happy with the ease of set up and the printing abilities. Perfect for my printing needs. I also have the WF-3540. This XP-400 was purchased because I have had nothing but good experiences with Epson printers. My only gripe is that the buttons are not very responsive. But at the same time, I've been spoiled by the WF-3540 touch screen :)

Super easy to set up and operate. I FINALLY found a printer I can actually figure out.
Will recommend this brand to anyone.

It took me a week to learn how to use it. It seems to be able to do what I ask it to do.
The only challenge I have with the printers is getting it to print big enough so I can read it.

I wanted a wireless printer to print from my phone as well as Kindle. This printer does the job! Easy to set up and work. Great value for the money.

Good but not always relyable

First, when I make my cards, the cards do not come out the same if I use "no border". The bottom one gets cut off. If I use regular border they are both right. I prefer no border to complete the effect that I am trying to get. I do many cards that I create myself with my art or photography.
When I use my photos from iPhoto on the cards, the paper selection wants to give me Photo paper and I don't want photo paper. I want something for heavy card stock.
There are lists of my printing jobs I found.
I do not know the use for them. I cannot delete any or all of them. Can they be used again in any way?
I am not completely happy with the scanner. It does not come out like the screen shows.
Also, when I print my cards I find they print darker than I would like and I have to do them again and go into "effects" on Print Shop, to brighten them etc. It happens every time.
I loved my other printer Epson Stylus c88+.
The on/off switch stopped working and that is why I have this new one. I do like Epson. Hope you can help with my problems, particularly the greeting card situation.
Thank you. DM Gill

Poor quality in both putting ink to paper as well as the requirement to push buttons on the printer instead of a computer program to administer the print job.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Super Easy Set Up

I just bought an Epson XP-400 series and was a little trepidacious about my ability to set it all up and get it connected to my wireless network all on my own by myself. I am a smart woman but computers are not my first language and a convoluted set up process would not be what I would want to buy. My printer was extremely easy to set up using the very detailed "quick start" instructions. The pictures were very helpful. I came away from the process feeling empowered about my ability to navigate a little bit more of the computer world. I would definately recommend this product!
