Slow as molasses

If you want to copy or print a document, you'd better have all day. It took me over 40 minutes to make a copy of an 8 page document! If I could I would just throw this thing out a window. It wastes more of my time than anything else in my life!

Product PRINTS well; speed ok; but it still COPIES way tooooooo slow!!! Why is that? Could it be because at this time my ink level is low? I do not recall any greater speed when it was full.

This Epson Product I just registered is actually the second XP-400 I have had, since the first one had a "Printer Error" message on it about 3 months into it's first initial use. I'm not a busy person whereas I would use my printer alot and on a daily schedule. I am quite amazed at how quickly the replacement got into my hands! Thumbs up to your tech team who helped in this matter! This will be the third Epson All in one printer/scanner I have owned. I still own the second one I bought but at this writing do not have possession of it at this time - hopefully soon however! The pages printed up till now have been of high quality, and I am looking forward to a long relationship with your products into the future!

Easiest setup. Instructions were easy to follow. Only one wire to connect (power cord). Even connected wireless without using a USB. Very user friendly.

Decent Home Printer

The printer was quick and easy to set up. It is light and doesn't take up too much space.
I like the scan feature where I can scan directly to my computer, however, would like to be able to change the settings where the default folder is that the scans are stored on the computer. (I realize this option is available with the more expensive Epson printers.)
The print quality is pretty good for a home printer at this price.
The only problem I have had is that it will sometime print out lines and lines (and pages and pages) of just random letters when I try to print a document. I have to turn off the printer, unplug it, and restart my computer, and it seems to be okay, but kind of a pain to do that.
Overall, a good printer for this price point. A lot of features packed into this small printer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It prints nice but it won't let me scan. Don't know
why but I think I will be taking it back to the store.

I bought this printer for its wireless "Airprint" capability and it works OK -- some of the time. All too often it can't find the Mac, and it's sitting about two feet from the Mac and the Airport Extreme router with a strong signal. There is no app for the PC to scan or perform other functions. You have to scroll though the choices on the clunky little screen on the XP-400, and scan will not work wirelessly. You apparently have to use a USB connection if you want to scan. You can check and confirm that the XP-400 is connected to your PC. When you try to scan the unit will tell you no PC found.
