I found that the scanner portion of this printer to be cumbersome. I ended up having to use the ImageCapture feature on my iMac to scan with rather than using the scanner directly. I couldn't seem to use the screen features on the printer to scan with. In addition, the printer has already started producing white lines in my printed images and I have to print several times to get it to clear up. I haven't yet needed to change the ink and have owned the printer about half a year.

The actual quality of printing is good. The problem is the printer constantly needs ink and I don't print alot of docs, (10 a week). The pop up for "low ink" also is misleading in that it will say low ink in one color (say blue) & the supplies level icon in settings will say low ink in another color. I would not recommend.

Excellent small-in-one for home use. Easy installation , good quality copies in color. Exactly what I was looking for at a good price.

Good little wireless printer does a lot

This printer worked perfectly out of the box, and it was easy to set up the wireless. It's small, which is a plus, and the print quality is fine for my needs (primarily printing spreadsheets, powerpoint decks and emails; occasionally scanning).

Compact, easy to operate, good choice for home use. Did have problems with the scan function and wasn't able to get it to work. Also haven't used it as wireless. Showing ink levels whenever printing is very helpful. Much superior to the other three printers I have had. I have already recommended it to others.

The Epson XP-400 is a good printer for small businesses like mine to print or scan, but the time it take to copy a document is too much; very slow copying documents and it seems to be like it take forever to finish 1 simple black and white 8 1/2 x 11 letter.

Bought this Epson due to customer reviews. Mistake. Prints fast, but the time it takes to load seems to make it no faster overall. Black ink runs out fast. Goes in to sleep mode fairly quickly, and you have to wake it up before you can print. Holds less paper than previous printer. Never again.

Not as easy with Windows 8

Took a little time to install with Windows 8, but with the excellent help from Epson Service I finally got the correct driver. It's compact, easy to use and makes great copies. Especially like the attached scanner. All-in-all a great buy.
